Disney Dream arrives in Port Canaveral

Disney Cruise Line’s latest vessel, the much-anticipated Disney Dream, arrived in Port Canaveral last week ready to begin her maiden voyage of the Caribbean on 26th January.

The 4,000-passenger ship, which cost just over $900 million is 50% larger than Disney’s other cruise ships and as such sees the cruise line positioning itself alongside major players such as Royal Caribbean and NCL, who themselves launched their latest ‘mega ship’, Epic, last year.

The Disney Dream which boasts larger passenger rooms than its competitors is said to be ideal for family cruises and is furnished with an excellent array of entertainment amenities, including a water-slide attraction that arcs over the side of the ship and a plethora of Disney characters onboard to entertain younger cruisers.
