- Seabourn Cruises 2028
2028 marks Seabourn’s 40th anniversary, and the ultra-luxury cruise line has assembled a programme of voyages befitting the occasion. The celebrations begin with the Cape-to-Cape World Cruise in January 2028, which sees Seabourn Quest sail 26,000 nautical miles across five continents on a remarkable 120-day voyage featuring iconic cities and lesser-visited destinations.
Alongside the World Cruise, Seabourn’s 2028 programme spans the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Northern Europe, Alaska and Asia, while the expedition fleet, Seabourn Pursuit and Seabourn Venture, continues to explore Antarctica, the Arctic and Australia’s Kimberley region.
With so many exceptional itineraries to choose from, we recommend securing your preferred suite early. Seabourn is planning a range of special events and celebrations throughout its anniversary year, and some of the most sought-after sailings, particularly those to Japan and the Caribbean, are expected to sell out well in advance.
If you’re considering a Seabourn cruise in 2028, you’ll also benefit from our longstanding relationship with the line. We’ve worked closely with Seabourn for more than 30 years and can offer access to exclusive fares and cruise deals with added-value benefits, including onboard credit and suite upgrade opportunities on selected sailings. We also offer a range of bespoke Cruise & Stay packages that combine your voyage with flights, hotel stays, and private transfers to create a seamless holiday experience.

The Ruby Jubilee: Celebrating 40 Years of Seabourn
Seabourn has named its 40th anniversary in 2028 the Ruby Jubilee: a year-long celebration honouring the line’s heritage as a pioneer of small-ship luxury cruising and the modern Seabourn experience that has evolved from it.
When Seabourn first set sail in 1988 as The Yachts of Seabourn, it introduced a new style of luxury cruising centred on intimate ships, personalised service and all-suite accommodation. Four decades later, those principles remain at the heart of the brand.
To mark the occasion, Seabourn has assembled a Ruby Collection of voyages spanning the anniversary year, complemented by special events, themed celebrations and signature experiences inspired by the line’s history. At the centre of the programme is the Cape-to-Cape World Cruise aboard Seabourn Quest, departing on 7 January 2028 for a 120-day journey covering 26,000 nautical miles across five continents. The itinerary includes a Panama Canal transit as a deliberate nod to Seabourn’s inaugural voyage in 1988.
Alongside the Cape-to-Cape World Cruise, the Ruby Collection includes the Yachtsman Collection, a series of voyages inspired by Seabourn’s original vision of yacht-style exploration, expanded Denali land journeys in Alaska, and a new sailing timed to coincide with Taiwan’s Pingxi Lantern Festival. The celebrations begin in memorable fashion on New Year’s Day 2028, when two Seabourn ships meet at Carambola Beach for a special Caviar in the Surf event, bringing together one of the line’s most beloved traditions with a landmark anniversary year.

What to expect from Seabourn in 2028
Beyond the Cape-to-Cape World Cruise, Seabourn’s 2028 programme covers a range of destinations across the year with the three ocean-going ships and two expedition vessels offering an almost unlimited range of possibilities.
Here are some of our favourite highlights:
- Mediterranean cruises are central to Seabourn’s 2028 programme, with Seabourn Ovation expected to sail the region between April and November.
- Seabourn Quest returns to the Caribbean with sailings at the start and the end of the year, framing the Cape-to-Cape World Cruise.
- Seabourn’s Alaska cruises in 2028 will see Seabourn Encore offer itineraries throughout the spring and summer, combining classic Inside Passage routes with calls to some of the region’s smaller ports and harbours.
- Closer to home, Seabourn Quest’s Northern Europe programme offers opportunities to explore the Norwegian Fjords, Iceland and other scenic destinations throughout the summer months.
- Asia continues to be one of the most eye-catching deployments, with Seabourn’s Japan cruises in 2028 taking place during Cherry Blossom season and later in the spring.
- Expedition voyages aboard Seabourn Pursuit and Seabourn Venture continue to explore Antarctica, the Arctic, the Kimberley and the South Pacific, offering immersive experiences in some of the world’s most remote regions.
