Seabourn Ovation

Seabourn Ovation is an all-suite ship, so you’ll enjoy ocean views and a private veranda regardless of the accommodation you choose. There are thirteen options available, ranging from 251. sq ft Veranda Suites to the 1,306 sq ft in the Grand Wintergarden Suites located at the top of the ship.

Designed in partnership with Adam D. Tihany, the design throughout Seabourn Ovation is considered and residential. The Veranda Suites bring an air of hotel-style luxury to the ocean, featuring a full-length window with a glass door leading to a private veranda, plus a separate living area, a queen- or twin-bed configuration, a walk-in wardrobe, and a marble bathroom with both a tub and a separate shower.

Seabourn Ovation’s Penthouse Suites elevate the experience with a separate bedroom, additional living space, a dining area, and two flat-screen televisions. The spa variant adds an oversized rainfall shower and a whirlpool bathtub, if you want the nearby spa experience extended into your accommodation. Both are ideally suited to extended voyages, where the additional space and amenities can be enjoyed during sea days.

At the top of Seabourn Ovation, you’ll find the ship’s top suites: the Owner’s Suite, the Signature Suite, and the two Wintergarden categories. The Grand Wintergarden Suite combines two Wintergarden Suites to create more than 1,300 square feet of indoor living space across two bedrooms. Common to all these categories are a glass-enclosed solarium, spacious outdoor balconies, and the option to host dining for four to six guests.

Seabourn Ovation offers five dining venues that range from the elegantly formal to the relaxed and outdoor. There’s a lot of variety to ensure you’ll find plenty to keep your taste buds excited even during a long voyage. 24-hour dining is also available, should you wish to enjoy lunch or dinner on your private balcony. Best of all, every venue is included in the fare, alongside complimentary beverages throughout the ship – even in your in-suite mini-bar.

The Restaurant is perhaps Seabourn’s best-known dining venue, and it’s a firm favourite with our Seabourn Club members. On Seabourn Ovation, you can enjoy à la carte breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and there are no fixed tables or times, so you can dine when you want and with whom you want. Complimentary wines and champagnes accompany every dinner service.

More relaxed than The Restaurant, The Colonnade serves up buffet-style fare for breakfast and lunch. The choices are varied, with several dishes that reflect the cuisine of the destination or region you are currently sailing through. When the weather permits, The Colonnade also offers outdoor seating.

Seabourn Ovation is one of only two ships in the Seabourn fleet to feature a dedicated sushi restaurant (with Seabourn Encore the other). The menu consists of traditional nigiri and sashimi, signature rolls and Japanese spirits, all served in an intimate setting that stands out from the rest of the ship’s decor. As with every venue, there are no additional charges for dining here.

Solis is Seabourn’s newest dining concept, replacing The Grill by Thomas Keller. Heavily influenced by the tastes, ingredients, and culinary traditions of the Mediterranean, you’ll enjoy handmade pasta, seasonal small plates and freshly grilled fish and meat. If you’re already a fan of this type of cuisine, we highly recommend booking early because it can fill up fast (just ask us when you make your booking, and we’ll ensure you get a table at your chosen time).

Reimagined for Seabourn Ovation, Seabourn Square is the centrepiece of Ovation’s social life. It’s a multi-venue space that brings together a coffee bar, a library, guest services, and comfortable seating all in one place. The light and airy environment means it’s a popular spot during the day, and you’ll find guests here planning port calls, enjoying a coffee, or just relaxing with a good book.

With so many warm-weather itineraries, Seabourn Ovation’s Pool Deck really comes into its own when the sun is shining. The heated freshwater pool stays at a comfortable temperature wherever you are, while the sun loungers, whirlpools, and attentive poolside service lend it more of a resort or beach club feel. Unlike larger ships, finding your own space is rarely a challenge.

Sheltered by a distinctive flower-shaped canopy, The Retreat on Seabourn Ovation is a private sun-deck enclave of fifteen cabanas arranged around a central whirlpool. With a dedicated concierge, a tailored menu, and complimentary champagne, it’s a more exclusive way to spend a lazy sea day, particularly when the weather permits. One thing to note: Cabanas are available for an additional charge; speak to our Voyage Consultants at the time of booking.

On selected warm-water sailings, Seabourn Ovation’s retractable marina platform opens directly onto the sea, giving guests stepping-stone access to swimming, kayaking and paddleboarding in protected waters. Given the ship’s Mediterranean and Caribbean deployment, Marina days happen more frequently on her sailings than on those of ships in cooler regions. The crew choose the day and the location carefully, so when it happens, it tends to be one of the voyage’s highlights.

Seabourn Ovation’s lounges and bars are spread across the ship to suit every kind of evening. The Observation Bar offers panoramic forward views over a cocktail before dinner; The Club is the late-night gathering spot for music and conversation; and the open-air Sky Bar pairs whirlpools and bar service in a setting that comes into its own on warm-weather voyages.

The little touches throughout Seabourn Ovation reflect the attentive, intuitive style of service that has come to define Seabourn. A 24-hour concierge handles requests with discretion, guests in higher suite categories enjoy complimentary laundry, and a well-stocked boutique offers resort wear and essentials. Complimentary Wi-Fi runs throughout the ship, and an extensive library completes the lifestyle facilities on board.

When it comes to true relaxation, there’s nowhere better than The Spa at Seabourn to spend a lazy day at sea. Taking the lead from the influential Dr Andrew Weil, choose from a menu boasting everything from classic massages and facials, to mind-body therapies. You’ll also find a beauty salon offering full hair and beauty services, plus a nearby fitness centre well-equipped with cardio machines and free weights.

Mindful Living is Seabourn’s signature wellness programme, running as a quiet thread through every voyage rather than a one-off event. Complimentary yoga, meditation and stretching sessions are scheduled regularly through the week, often held on deck at sunrise, alongside expert-led talks on sleep, nutrition and stress management. The whole programme is included in your fare, so you can dip in and out as much or as little as you wish.

Entertainment aboard Seabourn Ovation reflects the ship’s intimate scale: refined rather than spectacular, considered rather than show-led. The Club hosts accomplished pianists and vocalists for an unhurried evening, while the Grand Salon programmes classical and jazz performances through the week. The resident Seabourn Six, created by Belinda King, perform original productions with the polish more commonly found on much larger ships.

If there’s an enrichment programme that truly earns its name, it’s Seabourn Conversations: a series of onboard talks delivered by notable guest speakers whose backgrounds match the regions Seabourn Ovation is sailing through. Past speakers have included diplomats, explorers, scientists, chefs and journalists, and the talks add a layer of context to days at sea that many of our Seabourn Club members cite as a highlight of the voyage.

Across every Seabourn Ovation voyage, you’ll find signature events woven into the programme: Caviar in the Surf, when the crew serves caviar and champagne from a surfboard during a beach barbecue, is the most beloved, and one that her warm-weather Caribbean sailings deliver especially well. Themed deck parties and gala evenings add to the rhythm of the cruise, turning otherwise everyday nights into something more memorable.

If you love small ship cruising, intimacy, and all-inclusive value, Seabourn Ovation represents one of the best options at sea. While couples make up most of the guests onboard, Seabourn ensures it also caters especially well to solo travellers – thanks to the open-seating dining and relaxed atmosphere. Seabourn doesn’t offer many provisions for children, so it’s best suited to adults and older multigenerational families looking to celebrate a milestone while sailing some of the world’s most iconic regions.
