Seabourn Pursuit is perhaps best known for her Kimberley expeditions along the remote coast of north-west Australia, sailing between Darwin and Broome during the Australian dry season. Beyond the Kimberley, she also explores Antarctica, the Arctic, the South Pacific and South America, with itineraries built around immersive expedition experiences rather than conventional port calls.

A Kimberley voyage takes you through one of the world’s last great wilderness regions, where tidal waterfalls, sandstone gorges and ancient Wandjina and Gwion rock art are explored by Zodiac. Pursuit’s size and shallow-water capability allow access to inlets and rivers that larger ships cannot reach, while the Expedition Team provides expert cultural and natural context throughout the voyage.

Seabourn Pursuit accommodates just 264 guests, cared for by a crew of around 120. This is one of the highest crew-to-guest ratios in expedition cruising, helping to keep service highly personalised while maintaining a relaxed and uncrowded atmosphere on board.

A fleet of Zodiacs handles every landing and serves as the platform for sightseeing cruises, with kayaks available for guests who prefer a quieter way to explore. Every guest also receives a Helly Hansen expedition parka to keep, while waterproof muck boots are provided on loan for the duration of the voyage.

Yes – the core expedition programme is included in your fare. Guided Zodiac cruises, shore landings and expert-led experiences form part of the voyage, while additional Ventures by Seabourn activities may be available depending on destination and departure.

A Seabourn Pursuit voyage is all-inclusive. Your fare covers all dining venues, fine wines, premium spirits and champagne throughout the ship, gratuities, the core expedition programme and expedition gear, including your Helly Hansen parka.

Both Seabourn Venture and Seabourn Pursuit carry 264 guests, share the same suite categories, feature identical dining venues and offer the same all-inclusive Seabourn experience on board.

Where they do differ is in their seasonal deployment. Seabourn Venture tends to feature more heavily on Antarctica and Arctic itineraries. At the same time, Seabourn Pursuit has built her reputation on the Kimberley coast and is more frequently associated with South Pacific and South American voyages. Packing depends on where you’re sailing. For Kimberley voyages, lightweight, quick-drying clothing, sun protection, and sturdy footwear for wet landings are the priorities. For polar sailings, base layers, insulating mid-layers, and waterproof over-trousers are essential; Seabourn provides a heavy parka and loans waterproof boots. No. Seabourn Pursuit follows a relaxed dress code throughout. Expedition clothing is perfectly acceptable during the day, while evenings are generally smart casual. There are no formal nights, tuxedos or black-tie requirements.
