Seabourn Encore

There are 300 suites on Seabourn Encore, all of which come with a private veranda, a walk-in wardrobe and a marble bathroom with a separate bath and shower. Categories range from the entry-level Veranda Suites and more spacious Penthouse Suites, to the expansive top suites like the Wintergarden Suite and the Owner’s Suite.

The Veranda Suites make up the bulk of the accommodation on Seabourn Encore and are considerably more spacious than similar categories on other ultra-luxury ships. You’ll enjoy around 295 square feet of space, with floor-to-ceiling glass doors which open up onto a private balcony. Like the other accommodation options, the Veranda Suites were designed in partnership with Adam Tihany, so they have a calming, residential feel.

Taking up some of the most desirable positions on Seabourn Encore, the Penthouse Suites are typically found on the higher decks and therefore the best place for some incredible views. You’ll enjoy a separate living area, a larger balcony, and a dining area, all of which make the Penthouse Suite a great choice if you’re on a longer sailing with more sea days.

The Owner’s Suite, Wintergarden, and Grand Wintergarden Suites are the most expansive accommodations on Seabourn Encore and are located at the top of the ship. With more living space, extended (or wraparound) balconies, and – in the case of the Wintergarden Suites – a glass-enclosed solarium, these are some of the most opulent suites at sea.

With five distinct venues across the ship, dining aboard Seabourn Encore offers more choice than the smaller expedition ships like Seabourn Pursuit and Seabourn Venture, while keeping everything all-inclusive. Every venue, including the dedicated Sushi restaurant and Solis, is included in your fare, along with fine wines, premium spirits and champagne throughout. The in-suite mini-bar is stocked to your preferences, and 24-hour in-suite dining means a quiet evening on your veranda is always an option.

The Restaurant is a staple of the Seabourn experience and one of our loyal Seabourn clients’ favourite dining experiences. Expect daily-changing menus for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, fine wines at no extra charge and beautiful surroundings topped off by a dramatic double-height ceiling.

Another client favourite, The Colonnade, is also found on every Seabourn ship. It’s a fantastic alternative to The Restaurant if you’re looking for something slightly more informal, with buffet-style fare taking its cues from the region you’re currently sailing, plus outdoor seating means you can dine al fresco when the weather is favourable.

Seabourn Encore is one of the only Seabourn ships to feature a dedicated sushi restaurant. The menu offers traditional nigiri, sashimi, and signature rolls in an intimate setting, with sake pairings and Japanese spirits available throughout. Best of all, there’s no surcharge to dine here, which is unusual for such an elevated dining experience.

Solis is a new addition to Seabourn’s ocean fleet and is an absolute must for some of the best Mediterranean cuisine at sea. You’ll enjoy handmade pasta, seasonal small plates, and wood-fired meats and fish. While there’s no surcharge for dining at Solis, reserving your table is highly recommended!

The heart of Seabourn Encore, Seabourn Square, is a hallmark of the Seabourn cruise experience. It’s multi-purpose, with a cafe, a library, and an informal lounge all in one place. You’ll find your fellow guests here relaxing between activities, planning shore excursions with the concierge, or settling in for some quiet time with a good book.

The Retreat is a private sun-deck enclave of fifteen cabanas arranged around a central whirlpool, with a dedicated concierge, a tailored menu, and complimentary champagne. You’ll need to reserve your cabana for an additional charge, but it’s well worth it for a sea day – ask us about this at the time of booking.

Seabourn Encore boasts a number of lounges and bars, each with its own distinctive character. The Observation Bar, with its panoramic forward views, is a favourite for a pre-dinner cocktail, while The Club is popular for late-night music and conversation. The open-air Sky Bar is particularly enjoyable on warm-weather sailings, offering sweeping views, whirlpools, and bar service.

The central pool deck is one of the most popular spaces on board Seabourn Encore, surrounded by sun loungers, whirlpools and attentive poolside service. The heated freshwater pool means it stays comfortably usable even on cooler-weather sailings, and unlike larger ships, finding a quiet place to relax rarely proves difficult.

On selected warm-water sailings, Seabourn Encore’s retractable marina platform opens directly onto the sea, giving guests stepping-stone access to swimming, kayaking and paddleboarding in protected waters. Marina operations depend on weather and location, with the crew choosing the day and the spot carefully, so when it happens, it tends to be a real highlight of the voyage.

The Seabourn Difference will be evident as soon as you step onboard, and Seabourn excels when it comes to attention to detail. For your convenience, there’s a 24-hour concierge handling requests with discretion, complimentary laundry for guests in the higher suites, and a boutique where you can pick up resort wear and essentials. You’ll also enjoy complimentary WiFi, which is available throughout the ship and your pick of books in the extensive library.

Located across the upper deck, the Spa by Andrew Weil is Seabourn Encore’s principal wellness space, offering multiple treatment rooms, a thermal suite, a salon, and a dedicated fitness centre. All the treatments draw on Dr Weil’s integrative approach and combine massages, facials, and mind-body therapies. Alternatively, if you want to burn some calories, you’ll find the fitness centre well-equipped with a variety of weights and cardio equipment.

A theme that runs throughout Seabourn’s voyages is Mindful Living. This complimentary programme offers regular activities such as yoga, meditation, and stretching sessions, alongside expert-led talks on sleep, nutrition, and stress management.

When the sun goes down, Seabourn Encore offers a genuine range of ways to spend the evening. The Club hosts accomplished pianists and vocalists in a more intimate setting, while the Grand Salon programmes classical and jazz performances throughout the week. Most notably, The Seabourn Six, the resident showband created by Belinda King, put on a series of original productions that match the quality and showmanship more commonly found on much larger ships.

Seabourn Conversations is the cruise line’s signature enrichment programme, bringing notable guest speakers onboard to share their stories and expertise. From diplomats and explorers to scientists and chefs, the programme is closely linked with the region the ship is sailing. The programme adds genuine intellectual depth to sea days, and it’s well worth attending if you find someone who suits your interests.

Seabourn’s signature events are popular with new and returning guests, adding something unique to every sailing. Caviar in the Surf sees Seabourn Encore’s crew serving caviar and champagne from a surfboard during a beach barbecue – often in the Caribbean – while themed deck parties and gala evenings turn the evening into something more occasion-worthy than a simple sailaway gathering. Seabourn Encore attracts guests with a real appetite for refined small-ship cruising. From returning Seabourn Club members and guests who’ve sailed with other luxury lines to first-time guests and those planning longer voyages to Alaska or Asia, where Seabourn Encore’s smaller size really makes the experience. The majority of guests are couples, but solo travellers are equally well catered for thanks to the welcoming open-seating dining and relaxed atmosphere. There are no dedicated children’s clubs or programmes, so Seabourn Encore is best-suited to adults and multi-generational groups travelling together, rather than families looking for child-focused activities.
