Seabourn Cruises to offer Antarctica voyages in 2013
Seabourn Cruises has announced a collection of Antarctica itineraries for 2013 which go on sale on 4th September 2012.
The small-ship, ultra-luxury line will be offering four Antarctica sailings in total, ranging between 21 to 24-day durations. This will be the first time that Seabourn Cruises has visited the region and means that they now offer cruises to every continent across their fleet of 6 vessels.
The voyages will sail on the Seabourn Quest between Valparaiso in Chile and Buenos Aires, Argentina, and will visit the Chilean Lakes District, the Chilean Fjords, Glacier Alley and Ushuaia before cruising past Cape Horn en route to the Southern Ocean.
Those interested in the longer, 24-night cruises will be given the opportunity to spend two days exploring South Georgia Island which is renowned for its stunning wildlife, which includes king penguins, elephant seals, fur seals, seabirds and a myriad of rare bird species.
Each Seabourn Antarctica cruise will be joined by a team of experts and guest speakers, specialising in the region's geography, wildlife and history. These will be on hand to answer questions and accompany the guests on shore excursions and zodiac expeditions.
