Skagway Cruises
The town of Skagway is nestled within the Taiya Inlet fjord and located within the Inside Passage. The town has only been inhabited by white civilisations since 1897 when gold rushers passed through on their way to Klondike region. The town population grew and reached almost 10,000 becoming a typical frontier outpost.
Today the town has a population of just 800 but its gold rush history is still evident in the resorted gold-rush era buildings – many of which possess the iconic frontier style shop fronts.
