Montgomery Reef is a spectacular example of the impact of tidal motion. As the tide drops, a raging torrent of water, cascading off the top of the reef, erupts as the reef slowly rises out of the water. The area is rich in marine life including whales, dolphins, dugong, turtles, manta rays and black-tipped reef sharks. Here at Raft Point you will find some of the country's most remarkable Aboriginal rock art portraying the mythical Wandjina tribe.
