Despite being the second largest of the Thai islands, Ko Chang has recently experienced a rise in tourism, mainly due to its beautiful beaches, which are set against a breathtaking backdrop of tropical jungles and waterfalls.
Ko Chang has an important in naval history, having been the setting for a battle between the Royal Thai Navy a Vichy France Squadron.
