Iskenderun Cruises
Iskenderun is on the Gulf of Iskenderun on Turkey's Mediterranean coast at the foot of the Nur Mountains. Founded by Alexander the Great in 333 B.C it holds an important position on the Belen Pass (The Syrian Gates) through which Alexander The Great pursued the forces of Darius lll of Persia. It served as a base for Genoese and Venetian merchants as the main outlet for overseas trade from Bagdad and India and was mentioned in 'Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade' as the final (fictitious) resting place of the holy grail.
