Frederiksten Cruises
The port of Frederiksted was originally built as means of warding of attacks on the US Virgin Islands from neighbouring imperialists and pirates. However, with the threat diminished, Frederiksted is now a popular cruise port and offers a fascinating starting point for those who visit the island.
Whilst Frederiksted is perhaps more suburban than many Caribbean port towns, there are good travel links on offer to transport visitors to the more picturesque town Christiansted.
