Fairbanks Cruises
Fairbanks is Alaska’s second largest city and lies just 90 miles south of the Arctic Circle. Nicknamed “Golden Heart” for its gold rush history, the city today is a popular gateway to the Far North, the Bering Coast and the Arctic.
Fairbanks was first established as a gold rush town in 1902 and later became a military base for WW2 and the Cold war. The recent discovery of oil has attracted many miners to the city along with many tourists visiting for its rich history and frontier culture.
