It's location, coupled with its history as a port state, means that's it's become a highly sought after cruise destination, with many cruise lines now offering itineraries that stop in the port.

If visiting the state as part of a Dubai cruise, it’s recommended that you take a look at the shore excursions offered by your chosen cruise line. Some lines offer the opportunity to enjoy a helicopter ride over Dubai’s unique shoreline, whereas the more adventurous cruiser might want to indulge in a spot of 4 wheel drive desert safari.
Best time to visit Dubai: Dubai only really has 2 seasons; summer and winter. The summer season begins in April and generally lasts up until mid to late October. During these months it can be extremely hot (around 35-45C) – so if you’re not accustomed to such temperatures, a cruise to Dubai during this period may prove rather uncomfortable.
The winter season runs between November and late February and you’ll find this is the best time for a Dubai cruise. It’s still hot, but the heat will be enjoyable rather than a hindrance in terms of actually getting out and seeing some of the sights.
