Dalian Cruises
Dalian (Lu Ta) is located on the West Korea Bay in north eastern China on the Liaodong (Liaotung) Peninsula. The main ice free commercial port in northeastern China, it was transformed from a small fishing town into a modern commercial port and laid out as a spacious western city under Russian control from1898 – 1905. After the Russo-Japanese War (1904-5) the Japanese enlarged and modernized the city and it became the main port for Japanese controlled Manchuria.
