Corner Brook is a city and port on the western coast of the province of Newfoundland in Canada. It is situated on the Bay of Islands, at the mouth of the Humber River, near the Gulf of St Lawrence. Corner Brook is a centre for manufacturing, fishing, and tourism. The city includes Captain James Cook Monument, honouring the navigator who charted the region around 1767, and the Memorial University of Newfoundland Regional College at Corner Brook. Bottle Cove and Gros Morne National Park is nearby.
