Silversea is giving its suites a fresh structure. Instead of choosing among 17 individual suite types, guests will now choose from four clear categories: Oceanview, Veranda, Residence, and Villa. The suites themselves won't change, but from 2027, two of these categories come with genuinely useful new perks. Here's exactly what's happening, and what it means if you're booking a Silversea voyage.

The four new suite categories

Every one of Silversea’s existing 17 suite types now sits under one of four umbrella categories, grouped by size and style rather than renamed or redesigned.

Oceanview covers the Panorama and Vista suites, both built around large windows and genuinely expansive sea views. Veranda brings together the Premium Veranda, Deluxe Veranda, Superior Veranda, Classic Veranda, and Veranda suites, each with its own private balcony extending the living space outdoors.

Residence groups the Junior Grand, Signature, Silver, Premium Medallion, and Medallion suites, all offering separate bedroom and living areas for guests who want a bit more room to spread out. Villa sits at the top, spanning the Otium, Master, Owner’s, Grand, and Royal suites, Silversea’s most expansive accommodation, with generous living space and large private terraces.

This is purely a reorganisation. Your suite keeps its name, its layout, and its position on the ship. The category simply tells you where it sits in the wider lineup.

What stays included across every suite

Whichever category you book, the inclusions Silversea guests already rely on remain exactly the same. Every suite continues to include butler service, 24-hour room service, and a fully stocked bar and refrigerator set up to your preferences. Wine, spirits, and other drinks stay included throughout the ship, alongside complimentary standard Wi-Fi, port fees, taxes, and gratuities.

Oceanview and Veranda guests will notice no change at all beyond the new category label. The current all-inclusive experience simply continues as it always has.

New benefits for Residence Category guests

Starting on sailings departing 1 January 2027, Residence Category guests gain a genuinely useful head start on planning. Spa reservations open 210 days before departure, and restaurant reservations open 150 days before, both ahead of the general booking window. For popular venues and treatments, that early access can make a real difference.

New benefits for Villa Category guests

Villa Category guests get the fullest set of new perks. Alongside early suite access and the same early spa and dining reservation windows as Residence guests, Villa suites unlock a run of genuinely exclusive extras. Expect private consultations with the ship’s head sommelier, executive chef, and spa manager to help tailor your dining, wine, and wellness choices for the voyage.

A handful of Signature Experiences come exclusively to Villa guests too, including a private stargazing evening with Champagne and caviar, a chef-curated in-suite dining experience, and an in-suite afternoon tea served with the same care you’d find in the ship’s restaurants. Each Villa suite also comes with an in-suite Technogym exercise bag, complete with a yoga mat, resistance bands, and a roller.

On expedition voyages, Villa guests can choose their preferred Zodiac departure group rather than sticking to a fixed schedule, alongside priority entry to their first kayaking session and a behind-the-scenes look at expedition operations.
