Arvia is P&O Cruises’ second Excel-class vessel, following the arrival of Iona in 2020.

Like her sister ship, Arvia continues P&O Cruises’ take on British-style modern luxury, with spacious public areas, an almost limitless range of facilities and comfortable accommodations for 5,300 guests. Her name translates to “from the seashore”. Hence, natural light and uncompromised ocean vistas are a prominent feature of the ship’s design, from the impressive retractable skydome on the top two decks to the large panoramic windows that line the lounges and restaurants.

For sustainability, Arvia is powered by LNG (liquified natural gas) and uses ship-to-shore connectivity while in port, thus reducing carbon emissions and making the vessel one of the greenest cruise ships in the world.

Arvia will commence her service for P&O in December with an inaugural voyage from Southampton to the Canary Islands. She will then spend the winter cruising the Caribbean before returning to the UK, operating Mediterranean sailings throughout the spring and summer.

Entertainment, Activities & Facilities

P&O Cruises Ariva Facilities Swim Up Bar

Infinity Pool & Swim Up Bar

Arvia is brimming with onboard facilities and entertainment options. From swimming pools and cinema screens to spas and laid-back cafes, you’ll find an almost endless array of possibilities to pass the time during your cruise. There’s so much to do on this ship; it’s unlikely you will get the chance to try everything on your first cruise.

The three-tiered Grand Atrium is Arvia’s hub, providing access to numerous eateries and bars. The seated areas offer a fantastic vantage point to soak up the atmosphere day or night, with occasional aerial shows adding an element of circus-style magic to the occasion.

At the top of the ship, you’ll find one of Arvia’s most eye-catching spaces; the stunning SkyDome. Boasting a retractable glass roof, a swimming pool and ample seating, it’s a great stop to relax in the sun or to enjoy a light bite for lunch from the nearby pool bar.

Mission Control is P&O Cruises’ first multi-sensory escape room experience, exclusive to Arvia. With Mission Control, guests can tackle a series of live-action puzzles on an exhilarating underwater challenge aboard the fictional submarine, Arvia II. With two storylines to choose from – one designed for adults and the other for all ages – this is an experience that will entice and excite everyone.

Adults-only facilities

On decks 5 and 6, you will find the ship’s Oasis Spa & Health Club. The Spa boasts a range of new facilities and treatments exclusive to Arvia, including two VIP Couple Suites, a cool room, a salt sauna and Kneipp Walk, which combines a pebble foot massage with hot and cold water treatments.

The Limelight Club is exclusively for adults and regularly hosts entertainment by one of Britain’s best-loved musical talents. Alternatively, head to Headliners Theatre for a spectacular performance featuring music, choreography and costume design like you’ve never heard or seen before with a dazzling LED backdrop.

Child-friendly facilities

Altitude brings a world of fun for children, comprising four exhilarating activity zones. As the name suggests, Altitude is located on the ship’s top deck.

Cool off and splash around at Splash Valley, or challenge other sports fans to a football or basketball game at the Sports Arena. Alternatively, tackle a series of rope walks with different routes to suit children of all ages and abilities – the Skywalk is positioned 54m above the ocean! Or why not invite the whole family to a game of minigolf.
