Discover Antarctica and more aboard the boutique expedition cruise ship, Le Lyrial.
Chartered by Abercrombie & Kent for a collection of Antarctica voyages in 2023 and 2024, Le Lyrial is an intimate small ship offering a sophisticated onboard experience for no more than 200 guests. The vessel debuted for its parent company, Ponant Cruises, in 2015 and has become a favourite of many of our regular clients who love its modern interior, spacious accommodations and fantastic cuisine.

Le Lyrial Dining Options
There are two dining venues on Le Lyrial, both of which are available to all guests for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The ship’s main dining room is situated on Deck 2. Breakfast and lunch are buffet-style and offer various choices, including pastries and omelettes in the morning and hot dishes such as lasagna and chicken in sauce. The evening meal is served course-by-course at your table and includes a starter and soup as well as the main course and dessert. The evening menus consist of mouthwatering French cuisine. As such, you can expect to enjoy wonderfully prepared fresh fish and meat dishes, with alternative options available for those with alternative dietary requirements.
For a more relaxed dining experience, head to the Grill Restaurant on Deck 6. Open for lunch and breakfast, this casual indoor/outdoor venue boasts excellent ocean views and a choice of hot and cold dishes, while dinner (reservation only) is often themed, with dishes created to complement the ship’s itinerary.
Le Lyrial Facilities
Despite the ship’s relatively small size, Le Lyrial boasts a range of facilities and public spaces for you to enjoy during your cruise. She offers three lounge/bar areas, one of which has amphitheatre-style seating and doubles as a lecture hall and entertainment venue. For health and fitness, Le Lyrial has a full-service spa where you can enjoy a variety of treatments, a health suite equipped with all the standard gym equipment, and an outdoor swimming pool on Deck 6.
To enhance your expedition experience in Antarctica, Le Lyrial carries a fleet of Zodiacs and kayaks used frequently throughout each voyage for activities, landings and sightseeing trips. Furthermore, every sailing is accompanied by A&K’s industry-leading Expedition Team, who lead the ship’s daily briefings and shore excursion programme.
