The First Dedicated UK Ship from Celebrity Cruises

LONDON – 23 February 2009 – Continuing ship investment to markets outside mainland North America, Celebrity Cruises announces that Celebrity Eclipse,the third-ship in the new Solstice class, and the first to sail for a full season from Southampton, goes on sale at noon on 10 March. The five-star contemporary ship, uniquely designed with interiors by Tihany Design, offers five different European and Mediterranean cruising itineraries from April 2010 designed for travellers who prefer to depart from the UK.

In response to demand for new destinations and varying cruise lengths, Celebrity Eclipse will offer 26 cruises, a combination of short and longer itineraries. With sailings from four-night taster cruises to Cork and 16-night Eastern Mediterranean cruises.

The first season of Celebrity Eclipse features new ports of call for Celebrity Cruises including Toulon
(Provence), Cagliari (Sardinia) and Malaga (Spain). Plus, the 2010 summer season of Celebrity Eclipse also includes overnight stays in Palma de Mallorca on a 14-night Spanish Mediterranean cruise, and St Petersburg and Copenhagen on a 14-night Scandinavia and Russia cruise.

In summer 2010 Celebrity Cruises will base all three of its new Solstice-class ships in the European region as the brand seeks to continue growth outside North America. Sister ships Celebrity Solstice and Celebrity Equinox will operate from Civitavecchia (Rome) and synonymous to Celebrity Cruises, guests can enjoy lawn sports whilst at sea on the real grass lawn onboard any of the Solstice-class ships.

Early booking offers for consumers for Celebrity Eclipse include a saving of up to £400 per stateroom (£200 per person) on selected cruises.

Highlights of the new Celebrity Eclipse itineraries include:
Four-night short cruises to Cork, with an overnight stay in the city, on 29 April 2010 and 3 May 2010 from £499 per person,11-night Canary Islands cruise from £1,099 per person including destinations such as Madeira, Tenerife, Gran Canaria and Lisbon available in May, June and October 2010 Overnight call in Palma, and new destination Toulon, France from a 14-night Spanish Mediterranean option also including popular ports such as Barcelona and Seville. Prices from £1,299 per person and cruise available in July, August and September 2010.

New destinations for Celebrity Cruises of Cagliari, Sardinia and Malaga, Spain on a 16-night Eastern Mediterranean cruise from £1,349 per person also offering Venice, Dubrovnik and Palermo in September and October 2010. Overnight stays in St Petersburg and Copenhagen on a 14-night Scandinavia and Russia cruise also featuring Stockholm, Tallinn and Helsinki in May, June and July 2010 available from £1,399 per person.
