MS Roald Amundsen

MS Roald Amundsen is one the newest ships in Hurtigruten fleet. A custom-built expedition vessel, she has been designed to navigate the icy waters of Antarctica and the Chilean Fjords with ease. She offers capacity for 530 guests and provides a comfortable basecamp from which to explore the world’s most remote regions.

She is a named after Roald Engelbregt Granving Amundsen, a Norwegian explorer who led an Antarctic expedition in the early 1900s and was the first explorer to reach the South Pole, finally arriving at his destination in 1911.
