(London – 19 February 2009) Internationally renowned chef, Anton Mosimann will sail with ultra-luxury cruise line Silversea as a guest chef in 2009. The voyage is part of the line's Culinary and Wine Series.

Chef Mosimann will join the recently refurbished Silver Wind on a 12-day Mediterranean voyage from Istanbul to Rome, departing on 18 October. Throughout this voyage, Anton Mosimann will share his creative expertise through special menus, cooking demonstrations and a grand gourmet dinner.

Born and raised in Switzerland, Anton Mosimann developed a passion for food while growing up in his parents' restaurant in Nidau. In his twenties, Mosimann broadened his culinary education in the kitchens of top hotels in Rome, Montreal, Japan and Belgium. At 28, he was appointed Maître Chef de Cuisine of The Dorchester in London, the youngest ever to hold such a position. He was later awarded two Michelin stars, the first time that a hotel restaurant outside France ever received such an accolade.

Today, he owns and runs Mosimann's, a private members club in London's Belgravia and The Mosimann Academy. In addition, Mosimann's Party Service holds a Royal Warrant to HRH The Prince of Wales for catering. In 2004, Anton Mosimann received the Order of the British Empire [OBE] by H.M. Queen Elizabeth II for his dedication and commitment to the food and tourism industries. In 2006, he was appointed Officer, Ordre National du Mérite Agricole (France) and was elected President of the Royal Warrant Holders Association that same year.

"We are thrilled and delighted to have Anton Mosimann on board as his skill, expertise and reputation totally reflect the standards of excellence that Silversea has become recognised for throughout the world," said Trudy Redfern, Silversea's Managing Director UK and Ireland.

Ports of call on this sailing include Santorini, Katakolon (Olympia) and Corfu, Greece; Kotor, Montenegro; Split, Croatia, and Bari, Siracusa, Palermo and Sorrento, Italy. All-inclusive cruise-only fares for this voyage start at £4,371 per person. Guests on this voyage can also take advantage of an exclusive early-booking offer. For all bookings received before 30 April 2009, guests will enjoy a complimentary dinner for two at Le Champagne, the exclusive Relais & Châteaux Wine Restaurant on board Silver Wind and a selection of vintage wines up to the value of $1,000 per suite. Furthermore, guests will also receive a signed copy of Chef Mosimann's latest book, Mosimann's Fresh.
