Discover tropical rainforests, sandy beaches and some of the best seafood in the world on a Caribbean cruise.
Caribbean cruises have long been a popular choice with both experienced cruisers and those looking to enjoy a cruise holiday for the first time. A classic destination in every sense, the Caribbean promises to fill your days with stunning beaches, warm waters and gently swaying palm trees. It’s a region best seen by cruise ship, where you can explore at your leisure and really get a feel for the distinct characteristics and varied cultural vibrancy of a number of islands in a single trip.
Steeped in history and simply overflowing with wonderful natural beauty, the Caribbean promises much to suit all tastes. Whether it’s exploring the dense forestry and mountainous peaks of St Lucia and St Kitts or enjoying beach-side cocktails whilst soothing reggae wafts through the air in Barbados and Trinidad, you can be sure that your Caribbean cruise will provide you with memories guaranteed to last a lifetime.
LUXURY CARIBBEAN CRUISES
For sheer indulgence, enjoy the holiday of a lifetime on one of our luxury Caribbean cruises. We have six-star sailings with the likes of Regent Seven Seas, Silversea and Seabourn Cruises who each offer all-inclusive voyages to this magnificent region.
Luxury cruise ships are often somewhat smaller than many of the vessels that visit the Caribbean so you’ll find that these cruise lines offer itineraries that visit seldom-seen ports of call and hidden islands that are largely inaccessible to bigger ships. For example, SeaDream Yacht Club often features the islands of St Barts and Anguilla on selected voyages, whilst Oceania Cruises visit stunning Santo Tomas in Guatemala, a lush island steeped in Mayan history.
BEST TIME TO VISIT THE CARIBBEAN ON A CRUISE
There really is no ‘best’ time to visit the Caribbean on a cruise; it’s more a case of finding the best time to suit your preferences. If you’re seeking the very best of the Caribbean sunshine, then trips between November and March is advised as this is when the region is at its hottest. However, it’s important to note that this is also considered the Caribbean’s peak season and the travel fares are likely to be higher and the more popular islands are a lot busier.
For the best value, departure dates in November, April, May and June are great months to capitalise on slightly lower fares and other assorted cruise deals.
Those who wish to err on the side of caution may want to avoid travelling to the Caribbean during hurricane season which normally resides between June and late October. Of course, hurricanes aren’t guaranteed, but stormy weather is likely.
