Borneo is an island in south-east Asia just north-west of Australia in the South China Sea. The island has three parts; the lower part belongs to Indonesia, the northern part Malaysia and a small part on the northern coast Brunei.
Much of Borneo is quite mountainous with the highest peak being Mount Kinabalu. Borneo is also known for its interesting cave system and many of the caves have rivers and pools running through them.
