Short Break Cruises

Short break cruises

Luxury escapes in just a few days

If you are new to cruising or are looking for an alternative to a more traditional city break, then why not try one of our short break cruises?

We offer a wide range of voyages of up to 6 nights in duration with several of the world’s most famous cruise lines. In addition to the choices available, many of our cruise mini-breaks depart from the UK, so they are also a fantastic option should you wish to avoid flying.

Which lines offer short break cruises?

Many cruise lines offer short-break cruises. In terms of those that depart from the UK, you will find cruise mini-breaks available with Cunard and Princess Cruises. Several river cruise operators also offer shorter itineraries, and Christmas Market itineraries with Uniworld and Scenic are often extremely popular.

It is also possible to enjoy a short-break cruise with a luxury line, such as SeaDream Yacht Club or Hapag-Lloyd Cruises. However, in most cases, these sailings will depart (and return) from an overseas port, which means flying out to meet the ship.

Where can I go on a short break cruise?

Short-break cruises from the UK generally cross the English Channel and head for Northern Europe. In particular, ports in Belgium frequently feature on mini-break cruise itineraries. Longer sailings, such as the five-night options offered by Cunard, will also include stops in Holland and occasionally France.

As you might expect, choosing a fly-cruise mini-break opens up the range of destinations available. SeaDream offers five and six-night sailings in the Caribbean, while Hapag-Lloyd Cruises offers short cruises in New England and the Norwegian Fjords.

Azamara Cruises also operates a small number of short-duration cruises throughout the year, while Celebrity Cruises offers 2-6 night sailings in the Bahamas and the Caribbean aboard Celebrity Infinity.
