A culinary journey through Regent’s all-inclusive restaurants and speciality dining
On many luxury cruise ships, the word specialty is often a prefix for a supplemental charge. On a Regent Seven Seas voyage, that concept is entirely removed. The philosophy of Regent's all-inclusive dining means that every venue on board, from the casual al fresco grill to the most formal French bistro, is included in your cruise fare. There is no need to weigh up the cost of a steakhouse dinner versus the main dining room. Instead, the focus is entirely on the quality of the ingredients and the skill of the preparation. Whether you are dining on Seven Seas Grandeur or the intimate Seven Seas Navigator, the culinary experience is designed to be the highlight of your day.The philosophy of Regent's all-inclusive dining
Regent operates with a ‘land-based’ mindset when it comes to its kitchens. This means they do not use the mass-production techniques common on larger ships. Instead, every dish is prepared to order. Because the line is so heavily focused on destination immersion, the menus often change to reflect the regions you are visiting. In the Mediterranean, you might find fresh local sea bass or artisanal Italian pastas; in the Caribbean, the focus shifts to spicier, tropical flavours and fresh catches of the day.Flagship excellence at Compass Rose
The Regent Seven Seas dining experience is anchored by Compass Rose. This is the largest specialty restaurant in the fleet, and on the newer ships like Grandeur, it is a visual masterpiece.

The Compass Rose aesthetic
On Seven Seas Grandeur, Compass Rose features a breathtaking canopy of cascading crystal ‘trees’ that change colour as the evening progresses. It is a space designed for long, leisurely dinners.
A menu of infinite choice
Unlike standard main dining rooms, Compass Rose offers an incredible level of customisation. One half of the menu is dedicated to always available classics, where you can choose your preferred cut of meat (from Black Angus filet to New Zealand lamb chops), your sauce, and your side dishes. The other half features the chef’s daily specials, ensuring that even on a 14-night voyage, you never have to eat the same meal twice.

Exploring the Regent Seven Seas Explorer
While Compass Rose is the heart of the ship, the smaller Regent Seven Seas Explorer offers more focused, intimate culinary journeys. These venues are consistent across the Explorer-class ships (Explorer, Splendor, and Grandeur).
- Prime 7: A sophisticated take on the classic New York steakhouse. The decor features rich woods and leather, creating a moody, club-like atmosphere. The menu focuses on dry-aged USDA Prime beef and succulent Alaskan King Crab legs.
- Chartreuse: This refined French bistro celebrates modern Parisian cuisine. The flavours are delicate and the presentation is meticulous. It is the perfect venue for those who enjoy a traditional multi-course French meal with expertly paired wines.
- Pacific Rim: The entrance to this restaurant is an event in itself, often featuring a massive bronze prayer wheel. Inside, you will find a pan-Asian menu that ranges from delicate sushi and sashimi to spicy Thai curries and Korean-style lamb chops. This is widely considered one of the best restaurants on Regent Grandeur for its bold flavours and spectacular decor.
Casual and alternative dining options
Regent understands that not every evening requires a grand, three-hour dining event.

Sette Mari at La Veranda
During the day, La Veranda is a high-end buffet with indoor and outdoor seating. In the evening, it transforms into Sette Mari, a relaxed Italian trattoria. Here, you can enjoy authentic antipasti, homemade pastas, and traditional desserts in a more casual setting, often while watching the sunset over the ship’s wake.
The Pool Grill
For a quick lunch or a late-afternoon snack, the Pool Grill is far more than a standard burger stand. You will find high-quality grilled seafood, fresh salads, and artisanal sandwiches, all served in the open air.
