Spanning four countries, 14 ports, and six UNESCO World Heritage sites in 16 nights, this Star Collector voyage traces an arc from Venice to Rome. The Adriatic sets the tone — Rovinj’s pastel harbor, Diocletian’s Roman palace at Split, Dubrovnik’s medieval walls, and the fjord-like bay of Kotor in Montenegro. Messina opens the door to UNESCO-listed Mount Etna and Taormina before two nights in Sorrento deliver full days for Pompeii, Herculaneum, and Capri. From Sorrento, the route continues to Ponza’s Roman sea caves, the UNESCO Amalfi Coast, and the Aeolian Islands, where Stromboli erupts at dusk in a spectacle that belongs entirely to small ships. Porto Cervo on Sardinia’s Emerald Coast is a small-ship exclusive, and Porto Vecchio in Corsica adds a Genoese citadel and white-sand beaches.
