The Silversea Expedition Fleet
Four exceptional ships make up the expedition fleet. Silver Endeavour is the newest and most advanced, purpose-built for polar exploration with a PC6 ice-class hull. Silver Cloud and Silver Wind are expedition-converted classics combining intimacy with proven capability. In the Galapagos, Silver Origin was designed specifically for the islands and is the most elegant ship ever to sail these waters.

Where will your expedition take you?
Antarctica:
The white continent represents expedition cruising at its most iconic. Silversea’s Antarctic voyages depart between November and March, with early season (November–December) ideal for pristine snowscapes and penguin courtship, while late season (January–March) brings whale activity and penguin chicks. Expect Zodiac landings on the Antarctic Peninsula, encounters with gentoo, chinstrap and Adélie penguins, and the chance to kayak among sculpted icebergs. Some itineraries cross the Antarctic Circle or visit the Falkland Islands and South Georgia, home to vast king penguin colonies and elephant seals.
The Arctic:
The Arctic offers a different kind of polar magic. Voyages run from May to September, exploring Svalbard, Greenland, the Canadian High Arctic and the Northwest Passage. Early summer brings near-constant daylight and active birdlife; late summer offers the best chances for polar bear sightings as sea ice recedes. Expect walrus haul-outs, encounters with Arctic foxes, and landings at remote Inuit communities. Silver Endeavour’s strengthened hull allows access to areas few ships can reach.
The Galapagos Islands:
Silver Origin sails year-round in the Galápagos, offering 7-night itineraries that rotate between the archipelago’s northern and southern islands. The wildlife here is famously fearless – expect to walk among giant tortoises, sea lions and marine iguanas, with blue-footed boobies displaying just metres away. June to November brings cooler, drier weather and excellent snorkelling with penguins and sea turtles, while December to May sees warmer seas, calmer conditions and seabird nesting. With just 100 guests aboard and Galápagos National Park guides on every excursion, Silver Origin provides the most refined way to experience Darwin’s living laboratory.
