The Hebrides, the Northern Isles & the North Sea, 10 June 2030

Cruise overview
Depart Glasgow for the Hebrides and the remote Northern Isles, calling first at Tobermory, Mull’s rainbow row of harbour houses set above waters patrolled by white-tailed eagles. Continue to Portree, gateway to Skye’s pinnacled Old Man of Storr and the surreal Quiraing, before reaching Kirkwall, where Orkney’s Neolithic village of Skara Brae and the UNESCO-listed Ring of Brodgar predate the pyramids. Anchor off Fair Isle, Britain’s remotest inhabited island, home to sixty islanders, a storied bird observatory and the knitwear pattern that bears its name, then berth at Lerwick, Shetland’s northernmost port, where Iron Age brochs meet the endless daylight of the simmer dim. Invergordon opens onto Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle, while Dundee’s striking V&A stands beside Captain Scott’s Discovery. In Leith, climb Edinburgh’s Royal Mile to its brooding castle, then sail on to Stavanger’s timbered old town and quiet Lillesand before concluding in Oslo, where the Opera House gleams across the fjord and the unhurried calm of a Scandinavian summer lingers.
