Cruise overview
A roundtrip journey from Oslo that goes to Copenhagen next, where colourful Nyhavn quays and Tivoli’s fairy-tale gardens set an effortlessly stylish tone for the world capital of new-Nordic dining. Continue along Poland’s amber coast to Gdańsk, then reach Klaipeda, Lithuania’s only seaport, pairing a half-timbered German old town with the UNESCO-listed dunes of the Curonian Spit. Riga follows, its medieval guild halls giving way to the world’s finest concentration of Art Nouveau facades, before Tallinn’s turreted, UNESCO-listed old town casts its fairy-tale spell along cobbled lanes that seem to belong to another age. In Helsinki, the white Lutheran Cathedral presides over Senate Square, while across town a church is carved straight into granite. The sail through Stockholm’s pine-clad archipelago unfolds for hours before Gamla Stan’s ochre lanes and the salvaged warship Vasa, and walled Visby, a UNESCO Hanseatic jewel on Gotland, tumbles with roses over limestone cottages. Return back to Oslo, where forest, water and Nordic design meet at the fjord’s edge.
