SeaDream Caribbean Cruises

Speak to any of our loyal SeaDream Club members, and they’ll tell you that the Caribbean suits SeaDream I and II better than almost anywhere in the world. It isn’t just because of the sunshine, the rum, and crystalline waters – though it all helps – but because of what the yachts can actually do there. With both vessels carrying no more than 112 guests, SeaDream grants access to a version of the Caribbean that the majority of cruise guests never see. From exploring hidden coves off St Barts and quiet anchorages in the British Virgin Islands to the beaches in Antigua, these are experiences you won’t find sailing aboard a larger cruise ship.

SeaDream has always been a fixture in the Caribbean, with an itinerary schedule that runs from November to April. The voyages traditionally span 7 to 14 nights, with extended ‘back-to-back’ journeys available for those looking to spend more time in the region. Regardless of the sailing you choose, you’ll find every itinerary features a blend of calls to an array of best-known ports, alongside some truly hidden gems throughout islands like St Maarten, the Turks and Caicos and the Bahamas. There’s also a fluidity in the experience so no two voyages ever feel the same, with the Captain adjusting the course for weather or opportunity – it’s a freedom you’ll only find on yachts of this size.

If you’d like to explore SeaDream’s Caribbean programme in more detail, our Voyage Consultants are on hand to talk through the options. You can call us on 0800 008 6677 or make an online enquiry for your preferred sailing. You can also browse the full range of SeaDream Yacht Club cruises to get a feel for what’s available across both yachts.

The Champagne & Caviar Splash

Anyone who’s been to the Caribbean with SeaDream – like Lynne, who wrote a review here – will tell you about the Champagne and Caviar Splash. It’s one of SeaDream’s signature events, where the crew sets up on a secluded beach or by the pool, for an afternoon of flowing Champagne, fresh caviar, and a BBQ that goes beyond traditional burgers and hot dogs. It never feels staged, and the intimacy of being joined by no more than 112 guests makes it a spontaneous, special occasion.

In essence, the occasion best conveys what SeaDream gets right about cruising the Caribbean. There’s a warmth to the experience perfectly in tune with this part of the world. Add in the opportunity for a morning swim off the marina and a night spent dancing at the Top of the Yacht bar or a movie under the stars, and it quickly becomes apparent why so many of our SeaDream clients return to the Caribbean year after year.

Life on Deck

SeaDream’s yachts are famed for the amount of open deck space, so it’s no surprise that these areas become the heart of the ship in the Caribbean. You won’t find a theatre or atrium, nor is there any organised entertainment or Broadway-style shows. Instead, the expansive teak decking, the unobstructed sea views and, of course, the Balinese Dream Beds, are where most guests spend their time, served by a crew of 95, who seemingly anticipate your every need. By day, most guests drift between the deck, the water sports marina, and whatever port or anchorage SeaDream has dropped anchor in. By evening, that same deck becomes somewhere else entirely.

At The Cruise Line, we recommend SeaDream’s Caribbean cruises to anyone who wants to see the region differently, either as a couple or with a small group of friends. The traditional guest is someone who’s looking for an antidote to the larger ships or who prefers the service and freedom of a boutique luxury hotel. If you’d like to speak to someone who has first-hand experience of what SeaDream offers in the Caribbean, then call us on 0800 008 6677 and ask to speak to Lynne, who can tell you honestly what the experience is really like.
