Scenic Ikon’s maiden voyage departs Venice on 5 April 2028. The inaugural season runs through to March 2029, covering 110 ports across 21 countries, including the Mediterranean, Aegean, Egypt, Antarctica, the Falklands, and the Chilean Fjords.

The fare covers all meals across 15 dining venues, premium drinks, shore excursions, butler service, Wi-Fi, gratuities, and return airport transfers. Early-bird bookings also include a complimentary helicopter flight. Spa treatments and a small selection of rare wines and spirits are the only extras.

Yes. Scenic Ikon carries two Airbus H130-T2 helicopters for flightseeing excursions and remote landings. Guests booking early or staying in top-tier suites receive complimentary flights: 20 minutes in the Mediterranean, 30 minutes in Antarctica.

Scenic Ikon is larger than her sister ships, carrying 270 guests in 135 suites compared to Scenic Eclipse’s 228 guests. She also features an expanded two-deck spa and a bigger pool deck. Both ships carry helicopters and a submersible, share the same all-inclusive philosophy, and hold Polar Class 6 certification.

Fares vary by itinerary and suite category. As a guide, Scenic has quoted an average of around £1,200 per person per night, which compares favourably to competitors once the all-inclusive extras are factored in. Early-bird offers and reduced deposits are available for 2028 voyages.

Yes. Scenic Ikon holds a Polar Code 6 rating and an Ice Class 1A Super hull, making her fully equipped for Antarctic expedition cruising. The 2028/29 season includes multiple Antarctic voyages departing from Ushuaia, with internal flights from Buenos Aires included.

Accommodation ranges from the 34 sqm Deluxe Verandah Suite to the 250 sqm Ikon Penthouse. All 135 suites feature private balconies and butler service. Higher categories add separate bedrooms, private jacuzzis, and outdoor cabanas.
