- Regent Seven Seas & Rocky Mountaineer 2027
In 2027, embark on a truly unforgettable ‘Rail & Sail’ journey with Regent Seven Seas and discover the Canadian Rockies aboard Rocky Mountaineer before setting sail aboard Seven Seas Explorer on an immersive all-inclusive Alaska voyage from Vancouver.
The 13-night itinerary begins in the alpine town of Banff, where you’ll explore the surrounding peaks by Gondola and visit Yoho National Park before boarding the Rocky Mountaineer for two days of GoldLeaf rail travel through some of the most dramatic scenery in North America. From Banff, the route follows the historic First Passage to the West through the Spiral Tunnels, across the Continental Divide, and along the Fraser Canyon to Vancouver, with gourmet meals, local wines, and attentive hosts throughout.
From Vancouver, you’ll join Regent Seven Seas Cruises for a week exploring Alaska’s Inside Passage, calling at Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, and Icy Strait Point, with a day of scenic cruising past Hubbard Glacier. Every shore excursion is included in the fare, along with all dining, drinks, gratuities, and Wi-Fi onboard. Joined by just 750 like-minded guests, Seven Seas Explorer represents one of the most intimate ways to experience Alaska while providing an unrivalled level of comfort and service throughout your voyage.
There are eight departures available between May and September 2027, but you’ll need to act fast because these itineraries almost always sell out. What is GoldLeaf Service?
GoldLeaf is the premium level of service aboard the Rocky Mountaineer, and is included on all Regent 2027 packages. You’ll travel in a custom-designed bi-level dome coach with panoramic glass-dome windows on the upper viewing deck and a dedicated restaurant-style dining room on the lower level. Gourmet breakfasts and lunches are prepared by award-winning chefs using locally sourced Canadian ingredients, and complimentary drinks, including wines from British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley, are served throughout the day. There’s also an outdoor viewing platform at the rear of the coach for fresh air and photo opportunities. Onboard hosts call out wildlife sightings and share the stories behind the landscapes as you travel.
Planning your experience
The eight departures span May to September 2027, and each month offers something slightly different. May and June tend to be drier, with longer daylight hours and snow still visible on the peaks, making for particularly striking scenery on the Rocky Mountaineer. July and August are warmer and the best months for spotting bears, humpback whales, and bald eagles along Alaska’s coast. September brings the quietest ships, lower fares, and the first hints of autumn colour in the Rockies.
Our prices include flights from the UK; however, if you would prefer to book your own, then your land programme will begin in Calgary on Day 1. Alternatively, our team can design a bespoke package around the 13-night itinerary, and can add additional nights in Vancouver and/or Anchorage, plus additional excursions and more. Alternatively, if you would prefer to book the Alaska cruise without the Rocky Mountaineer land programme, you can browse our range of Regent Alaska cruises.
