Cunard Last Minute Cruises

You can often book a Cunard cruise just a few days before departure, provided there’s availability and you have the necessary travel documents. However, we recommend booking as soon as you find an itinerary and fare that appeal to you, especially if you have a preferred stateroom or suite category in mind. Our Voyage Consultants can check current availability and advise on the practicalities of arranging your holiday at short notice.

They certainly can be, although there’s no guarantee that waiting until the last minute will secure the lowest fare. Cunard occasionally releases attractive pricing on voyages with remaining availability, and you may find great value in Balcony Staterooms and the more luxurious Grill Suites. We regularly review these opportunities to bring our clients a selection of competitive late deals, sometimes with additional benefits such as onboard credit or complimentary Southampton parking.

Your Cunard fare includes your accommodation, meals in the main restaurants and buffet, traditional afternoon tea, entertainment and access to many of the ship’s leisure facilities. Selected dining experiences, alcoholic beverages, spa treatments and shore excursions are generally available at an additional cost. If you’re considering Princess Grill or Queens Grill accommodation, you’ll also enjoy additional privileges, including dedicated restaurants and exclusive areas of the ship.

Selected Cunard cruises departing from Southampton offer complimentary car parking as an additional booking benefit. However, this is generally offered as an alternative to onboard credit, so you’ll usually need to choose which benefit you prefer. Availability and terms vary by departure and fare, and not every itinerary qualifies. Our Voyage Consultants can explain the options for your chosen sailing and help you decide which offers better value.

Cunard’s Balcony Staterooms offer comfortable accommodation with your own private outdoor space, while Princess Grill and Queens Grill provide a more exclusive experience. Princess Grill suites offer more space, access to a dedicated restaurant, and other privileges, while Queens Grill is the highest accommodation category, with particularly spacious suites, enhanced service, and exclusive dining. If you’re considering a last-minute upgrade, our Voyage Consultants can help you compare available categories and decide whether the added benefits are worth the fare difference.

Absolutely. Cunard offers an extensive programme of cruises departing from Southampton, making it particularly convenient to arrange a holiday without flying. Depending on your chosen itinerary, you could explore Northern Europe, the Mediterranean, or the Canary Islands without ever setting foot in an airport. For guests travelling to Southampton from elsewhere in the UK, we can also advise on transport arrangements and pre-cruise hotel stays where required.

In most cases, yes. If you’re booking close to departure, the full balance will usually be payable when you confirm your reservation, rather than the deposit and later balance payment arrangement available on bookings made further in advance. The precise terms depend on the departure date and fare conditions, and we’ll always explain the payment requirements before you commit to a booking.

You’ll need a valid passport and, depending on your itinerary and nationality, you may also require visas or electronic travel authorisations. Entry requirements vary between destinations, so it’s important not to assume that the same rules apply to every Cunard voyage. If you’re considering a short-notice departure, we’d recommend checking your documents before making a reservation, particularly where visas or other permissions may take time to arrange.

Of course. The offers featured on this page represent a selection of the last-minute Cunard cruises available, and new opportunities can arise as departure dates approach. If you have a particular ship, destination or date in mind, our Voyage Consultants can check the wider Cunard programme for availability and applicable offers. With our long-standing relationship with Cunard and first-hand experience of its ships, we’ll help you find the right voyage at the best available fare.
