You’ll never forget this extraordinary close-up of the 49th state. Our journey begins in Seward, on glittering Resurrection Bay, from where we cruise past the Hubbard Glacier, the longest tidewater glacier in North America. Now we head for Sitka, where the onion-shaped dome of Saint Michael’s serves as a visual reminder of the days when this was Russian territory. Alaska’s cultured capital Juneau is next, followed by Klawock, a significant center of Tlingit culture, and Ketchikan, where many of the buildings balance on stilts over the water. Crossing into Canadian waters and cruising through the awe-inspiring Seymour Narrows, we arrive in the lively city of Vancouver.
