Cruise overview

Departing Yokohama near Tokyo, our journey north begins with a relaxing day at sea before we reach Aomori on the island of Honshu, where there are sake breweries and samurai castles. Next is Kushiro, home to Japan’s largest marshland: keep an eye out for the rare red-crowned crane. We have some time at sea as we cross the International Date Line and gain a day. Sample Crystal Serenity’s myriad dining options, indulge with a spa treatment, and challenge fellow cruisers to a game of padel. Now, we reach Alaska, calling first at Kodiak, famous for its large population of brown bears and rich Alutiiq heritage. In Homer, known as ‘the Halibut Fishing Capital of the World’, cast a line with the locals or tuck into a delicious seafood lunch. Our final port of call is Seward, on glittering Resurrection Bay, where you can hike to the fjords and encounter marine wildlife at the Alaska Sealife Center.
