Crossing continents is the quest of this voyage, departing from Lisbon. We start our adventure with two relaxing days at sea, plenty of time to unwind and slip into cruise life, as we make our way towards our first destination, the Azores. We’ll make three stops at this archipelago – Praia da Vitoria, Ponta Delgada, and Horta – with exciting activities including whale watching, sampling the islands’ delicious wines, and stepping into the past in the UNESCO World Heritage site of Angra do Heroísmo, the archipelago’s oldest city. Four more days at sea allows time to enjoy all the ship has to offer before Antigua emerges on the horizon. Bask on one of its many beaches before we hop across the Caribbean visiting Jost van Dyke in the British Virgin Islands to snorkel with sea turtles, and the pretty pastel-colored streets of San Juan in Puerto Rico. Now is your last chance to indulge in the spa or relax by the pool, as we take the scenic route to our final stop, Fort Lauderdale.

Set on seven hills on the banks of the River Tagus, Lisbon has been the capital of Portugal since the 13th century. It is a city famous for its majestic architecture, old wooden trams, Moorish features and more than twenty centuries of history. Following disastrous earthquakes in the 18th century, Lisbon was rebuilt by the Marques de Pombal who created an elegant city with wide boulevards and a great riverfront and square, Praça do Comércio. Today there are distinct modern and ancient sections, combining great shopping with culture and sightseeing in the Old Town, built on the city’s terraced hillsides. The distance between the ship and your tour vehicle may vary. This distance is not included in the excursion grades.
