Cruise overview

Setting sail from Incheon in South Korea, we spend a relaxing day at sea before calling at Busan, a coastal metropolis with bustling street markets and tranquil Buddhist temples. Across to Japan now, and the city of Sakaiminato, where you can visit the Mizuki Shigeru Museum, dedicated to the famous manga artist of the same name. Next is Maizuru, gateway to Kyoto, where you’ll find an impressive 17 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including shrines, temples, and the historic Nijo Castle. In Kanazawa, stroll the magnificent gardens of Kenrokuen and admire the beautiful cherry blossoms that this time of year brings. There are more natural wonders to discover in Niigata, where snowscapes are starting to melt into verdant green valleys. In Akita, take a soak in mineral-rich onsen (hot springs) and in Aomori, be sure to sample nokke-don, a customizable donburi (rice bowl) dish beloved by locals. A final day at sea gives you a chance to recharge before we reach the neon lights of Tokyo, where our journey ends.
