Copenhagen to Amsterdam

Cruise overview
Our Northern European odyssey sets sail from the Danish capital of Copenhagen, making its way to the German seaside resort of Warnemünde. A stop at Gdansk in Poland offers an opportunity to brush up on World War II history, before it’s over to Klaipeda in Lithuania, famed for its wood-framed architecture, and Riga, the cultured capital of Latvia. Next comes Tallinn in Estonia, with its gothic spires and cobblestoned streets, followed by the Finnish capital of Helsinki, and spectacular Stockholm in Sweden, where historic charm meets cutting-edge innovation. Discover medieval ruins in Visby and visit the 17th-century town of Karlskrona, home to Sweden’s largest naval base. Traveling south, we have two days to explore the design-forward Danish capital of Copenhagen, before arriving in Oslo, Norway, where culture and nature co-exist. A day at sea brings us to our final stop, the forward-thinking Dutch capital Amsterdam.
Itinerary
Copenhagen
By the 11th century, Copenhagen was already an important trading and fishing centre and today you will find an attractive city which, although the largest in Scandinavia, has managed to retain its low-level skyline. Discover some of the famous attractions including Gefion Fountain and Amalienborg Palace, perhaps cruise the city’s waterways, visit Rosenborg Castle or explore the medieval fishing village of Dragoer. Once the home of Hans Christian Andersen, Copenhagen features many reminders of its fairytale heritage and lives up to the reputation immortalised in the famous song ‘Wonderful Copenhagen’.
