Departing from Barcelona, Spain’s capital of fiesta and fun, enjoy the quaint coastal atmosphere of Port Vendres before we sail to Villefranche-sur-Mer, which reveals the treasure trove of historical, cultural, and natural wonders that captivated the likes of the writer Jean Cocteau. We make a brief stop in Italy, calling at Portovenere to explore the enchanting coastal villages of the Cinque Terre, before returning to France to visit Napoleon’s birthplace in Ajaccio, Corsica. Back to Spain now, to stroll the whitewashed village streets of Porto Mahon in Menorca, admiring the mix of Spanish, British, and Mediterranean architecture, then Palma de Mallorca, where world-class beaches and renowned gastronomy await.

Modern art museums and chic shops call for attention, too. Barcelona’s vibe stays lively well into the night, when you can linger over regional wine and cuisine at buzzing tapas bars.
