Our ocean-crossing odyssey sets sail from the spirited Spanish capital of Barcelona, taking in Mediterranean marvels such as the lush island of Madeira, the sun-soaked Canary Islands, the bustling Moroccan cities of Agadir and Casablanca, and the colorful Portuguese capital of Lisbon. Crossing the Atlantic, we spend four days making the most of Crystal Serenity’s onboard offerings, before arriving on the elegant and exclusive island of St Barthélemy. Next, discover the pretty pastel-colored streets of San Juan, Puerto Rico; the lush rainforests of Samaná, Dominican Republic; and the crystal waters and coral gardens of Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos. Another day at sea brings us to Fort Lauderdale, known for its white sand beaches and buzzy nightlife.

The capital of Catalonia is a banquet for the senses, with its beguiling mix of ancient and modern architecture, tempting cafés and markets, and sun-drenched Mediterranean beaches. A stroll along La Rambla and through waterfront Barceloneta, as well as a tour of Gaudí’s majestic Sagrada Famíliaand his other unique creations, are part of a visit to Spain’s second-largest city. Modern art museums and chic shops call for attention, too. Barcelona’s vibe stays lively well into the night, when you can linger over regional wine and cuisine at buzzing tapas bars.
