Celebrity Cruises

Since 1988, Celebrity Cruises has established itself as one of the world’s foremost luxury cruise brands. The line’s fleet of 16 ships sails to over 300 destinations worldwide, blending innovation and modern luxury everywhere from the sun-kissed islands of the Caribbean and cities of the Mediterranean, to Alaska’s vast wilderness and the wildlife-rich Galapagos Islands.
Whether you choose the revolutionary Edge-class vessels with their Infinite Veranda staterooms and cantilevered Magic Carpet, or the elegant Solstice-class ships with their real-grass Lawn Club, you’ll experience warm service, unrivalled amenities, and an onboard experience that’s perfectly suited to couples, solo travellers, and families.
Aside from a fantastic range of destinations and a variety of cruise ships to choose from, Celebrity Cruises also represents fantastic value for money. With different fare types available, you can personalise your experience to suit your needs. For example, the All-Included fare covers a Classic Drinks selection (beer, wine, spirits, cocktails, soft drinks, and speciality coffees), basic Wi-Fi, and gratuities as standard, while Suite guests sail with the Premium Drinks Package, streaming Wi-Fi, and access to The Retreat, a private enclave with its own restaurant, lounge, and sundeck.

Accommodation overview
Celebrity Cruises offers accommodation from comfortable Inside Staterooms to the exclusive suite enclave of The Retreat. Over 85% of cabins across the fleet feature private verandas, and Edge-class ships introduce Infinite Veranda staterooms where, at the touch of a button, the entire living space opens to the sea. All categories include 24-hour room service, premium bedding, a flat-screen TV, a minibar, and an in-room safe.

Inside and Ocean View Staterooms
Inside Staterooms provide a comfortable base with smart storage and refined finishes. Ocean View Staterooms add natural light through large windows. Both suit guests who spend most of their time exploring the ship and shoreside, returning to the cabin mainly to sleep.

Veranda and Concierge Class
Veranda Staterooms include a private balcony for morning coffee or sunset drinks. Concierge Class adds priority embarkation, welcome sparkling wine, daily canapés, reserved theatre seating, and access to the Concierge Class Lounge. A popular choice if you want extra touches without the full suite experience.

AquaClass
Designed for wellness-focused travellers, AquaClass staterooms are located near the spa and include unlimited access to the Persian Garden thermal suite. Guests dine exclusively at Blu, where menus emphasise clean, balanced flavours. AquaClass is recommended if you value health-conscious cuisine and a calming retreat at sea.

The Retreat (Suites)
The Retreat is Celebrity’s ship-within-a-ship concept for suite guests. Options range from Sky Suites and Sunset Suites to Penthouse, Royal, and the flagship Iconic Suite. All include butler service, a dedicated concierge team, priority everything, and exclusive access to Luminae restaurant, The Retreat Lounge, and a private sundeck.

Accommodation summary
All staterooms feature pillow-top mattresses, Egyptian cotton linens, and premium toiletries. Connecting cabins are available for families. Suite guests receive complimentary speciality dining, Premium Drinks Package, and streaming Wi-Fi. AquaClass and Concierge Class guests enjoy welcome amenities and priority services that enhance the voyage from day one.

Dining overview
Dining on a Celebrity Cruises ship provides an array of options across the main restaurants, relaxed buffets, and inventive speciality venues. All the menus are crafted with input from Michelin-starred chefs, and the line’s culinary reputation has earned widespread recognition. Main dining is included in the fare; speciality restaurants carry a supplement.

Main Dining
The main restaurants (Grand Épernay, Cosmopolitan, Normandie, Metropolitan, and others, depending on the ship) serve multi-course dinners with daily-changing menus. Open seating is available, or guests can request a fixed dining time. Breakfast and lunch are also served here on select sea days.

Casual and buffet dining
Oceanview Cafe offers international dishes from early morning to late night, with live cooking stations and themed selections. The Mast Grill serves poolside burgers and salads. Cafe al Bacio is the go-to for speciality coffees, pastries, and sandwiches throughout the day.

Speciality restaurants
Murano presents refined French cuisine with tableside service. Tuscan Grille combines Italian flavours with premium steaks. Sushi on Five offers freshly prepared Japanese dishes. Raw on Five serves seafood. Le Petit Chef is a theatrical experience where 3D animation brings your meal to life. Eden Restaurant (Edge-class) serves garden-inspired tasting menus.

Suite and AquaClass dining
AquaClass guests dine at Blu, where menus focus on lighter, cleaner flavours without sacrificing indulgence. Suite guests have exclusive access to Luminae, The Retreat’s private restaurant serving refined dishes not available elsewhere on board. Both venues offer a quieter, more intimate atmosphere.

Dining round-up
Room service is available 24 hours. All-Included fares cover the Classic Drinks Package (beer, wine by the glass up to $12, cocktails, spirits, soft drinks, speciality coffee). The Premium Package extends to top-shelf spirits and finer wines. Dietary requirements are accommodated across all venues with advance notice.

Amenities overview
Celebrity ships combine big-ship choice with boutique-style atmosphere. Public spaces range from art-filled atriums and stylish lounges to rooftop gardens and adults-only pool areas. Edge-class vessels introduce outward-facing design, with floor-to-ceiling glass, cantilevered platforms, and multi-storey venues that blur the line between indoors and out.

The Lawn Club and Rooftop Garden
Solstice-class ships feature the Lawn Club, half an acre of real grass perched above the sea. Guests can play bocce, enjoy lawn bowling, or stretch out with a picnic. Edge-class ships replace this with the Rooftop Garden, a landscaped retreat with live plants, relaxed seating, and evening entertainment.

Magic Carpet and Eden (Edge-Class)
The Magic Carpet is a cantilevered platform that moves between decks, serving as a restaurant, bar, and tender embarkation point depending on its position. Eden is a three-storey venue wrapped in glass, combining lounge seating, performance space, and the Eden Restaurant. Both are signature features of Edge, Apex, Beyond, Ascent, and Xcel.

Pools and relaxation
The main Resort Deck features pools, whirlpools, and tiered seating. The Solarium is an adults-only indoor pool area with a tranquil atmosphere. Suite guests have access to The Retreat Sundeck, an exclusive space with plush loungers and dedicated service.

Amenities round-up
Additional amenities include a casino, art gallery, photo gallery, library, card room, and boutique shops. Wi-Fi is available throughout (included with All-Included fares). Jogging tracks, basketball courts, and outdoor fitness equipment provide active options. Celebrity Central hosts cinema screenings, lectures, and enrichment talks.

The Spa
The Spa offers a full menu of massages, facials, and body treatments. Many ships feature a thermal suite (Persian Garden on Solstice/Millennium class, SEA Thermal Suite on Edge class) with steam rooms, saunas, aromatic showers, and heated loungers. AquaClass guests enjoy complimentary access; other guests can purchase a pass.

Fitness
The Fitness Centre is equipped with cardio machines, free weights, and resistance equipment. Group classes include yoga, Pilates, indoor cycling, and circuit training. Outdoor jogging tracks and sports courts provide fresh-air alternatives. Personal training sessions are available for an additional fee.

By day
Daytime activities include destination lectures, wine tastings, cooking demonstrations, art auctions, and enrichment talks from guest speakers. The Hot Glass Show (Solstice class) features live glassblowing. Edge-class ships offer The Studio for hands-on workshops. Throughout every Celebrity cruise, you can also enjoy poolside games, trivia sessions, and live music, which fill the schedule between ports.

When night falls
The main theatre hosts Broadway-style production shows, aerial performances, and live music. Smaller lounges feature comedy, magic, tribute acts, and acoustic sets. The Martini Bar is famous for its frosted counter and bartenders’ flair. Quasar or similar venues keep the dance floor moving late into the evening. Eden transforms after dark into an immersive performance space.

Families
Celebrity welcomes families with Camp at Sea, an award-winning programme for ages 3-17. Children are grouped by age (Shipmates 3-5, Cadets 6-9, Captains 10-12, Teens 13-17) with dedicated spaces and tailored activities. Daytime participation is complimentary. Family-friendly cabins and connecting staterooms make travelling together easy. Teen lounges offer independence, while family shore excursions include wildlife, soft adventure, and cultural experiences suited to all ages.

Overview & Classic Drinks
Celebrity Cruises offers three drink packages that can be added to any fare or are included with All-Included bookings.
- Classic Drinks Package: Included with All-Included fares. Covers beer, wine by the glass (up to $12), cocktails, spirits, frozen drinks, soft drinks, speciality coffees, teas, juices, and bottled water. No daily limit on the number of drinks.

FAQs
Whether it’s life on board or daily excursions ashore, these FAQs are designed to guide you through the Celebrity Cruises experience.
All-Included fares bundle the Classic Drinks Package (beer, wine, spirits, cocktails, soft drinks, speciality coffee), basic Wi-Fi, and gratuities. Suite guests receive Premium Drinks and streaming Wi-Fi. It’s the most popular booking option and removes the need to track daily spend.
Edge-class ships (Edge, Apex, Beyond, Ascent, Xcel) appeal to couples with their modern design, Eden lounge, and Magic Carpet bar. For a more intimate atmosphere, Millennium-class vessels carry fewer guests and feel quieter. If wellness matters, choose a ship with AquaClass staterooms and the Blu restaurant.
Solstice-class and Edge-class ships offer the most space and the widest range of activities for children and teens. Celebrity Reflection and Celebrity Beyond have particularly well-regarded family programmes. Millennium-class ships suit families with older children who will enjoy the smaller-ship atmosphere.
Yes. Several ships have dedicated single staterooms (not doubles at a supplement), and solo traveller meetups and hosted dinners help guests connect. The atmosphere suits independent travellers who enjoy dining alone or socialising on their own terms.
AquaClass staterooms are positioned near the spa and include unlimited access to the Persian Garden thermal suite plus exclusive dining at Blu. If you value wellness, lighter cuisine, and a tranquil retreat, AquaClass is worth the premium. If you prefer the buzz of the main dining room, standard Veranda is fine.
The Retreat is Celebrity’s suite-only enclave with a private restaurant (Luminae), lounge, and sundeck. Butler service, priority everything, and the Premium Drinks Package are included. It’s designed for guests who want privacy, space, and recognition. Ideal for special occasions or travellers who value personal service.
Both are owned by Royal Caribbean Group, but the experience differs. Royal Caribbean is bigger, bolder, and more activity-focused (water slides, surf simulators, zip lines). Celebrity is quieter, more refined, and appeals to guests who prioritise dining, design, and destination focus over theme-park features.
Yes. Celebrity Apex operates seasonal no-fly cruises from Southampton to the Norwegian Fjords, Iceland, Northern Europe, and the Mediterranean. Departures run from spring to autumn. These sailings are popular with UK guests who prefer to avoid airports.
Daytime is resort casual. Evenings are Smart Casual (no shorts or flip-flops in restaurants). On Evening Chic nights (typically 2-3 per voyage), the dress code steps up to cocktail dresses, skirts, or smart trousers for women and trousers with a collared shirt or blazer for men. Formal wear is optional but welcomed.
Popular itineraries (Alaska, Galapagos, Mediterranean peak season) book 12-18 months ahead, especially for suite categories. Southampton sailings also sell early. Short Caribbean voyages are easier to find closer to departure. If you have specific cabin or dining preferences, booking early gives you the widest choice.
