Incheon (Seoul): The port of Incheon is just an hour outside Seoul, Korea's capital city and financial centre. The port has been in operation since the late 1880s and has flourished due to the trade routes to China and the rest of the world. In Seoul, the ultra-modern and high-tech exist side-by-side with the ancient and traditional, making it a must-see city.
Busan: Korea's second largest city, Busan's modernity contrasts nicely with many old world features, such as the Haedong Yonggungsa Temple and the Geumjeong Fortress, an 18th Century mountain fortress built in response to the Japanese invasion of 1592 and the Manchu invasions in 1627 and 1637. If visiting Busan, we would suggest a visit to The United Nations Cemetery, which is the only UN memorial park in the world, and the Shinsegae Centum City; a huge department store which is ideal for a spot of retail therapy.
Jeju: The island of Jeju was created as a result of five massive volcanic eruptions over one million years ago. These eruptions left a stunning landscape and natural formations that has seen 10% of Jeju listed as a UNESCO Natural Heritage site.
