Accommodation overview
Every suite on Seabourn faces the ocean – there are no inside cabins. Most feature private verandas, and all include walk-in wardrobes, marble bathrooms, and a stocked bar refreshed to your preferences. The atmosphere is more boutique hotel than cruise ship, with understated décor and genuine space to spread out. Penthouse and premium suites include dedicated butler service, though the attentive stewardess assigned to every suite makes the distinction feel less pronounced than you’d expect.

Veranda Suites
The core of the Seabourn experience, and where most guests sail. Veranda Suites offer a private teak balcony, queen-size bed, separate sitting area, and a marble bathroom with a full tub and separate shower. The layout is generous – around 300 square feet plus the veranda – and feels calm and uncluttered. On Odyssey-class ships, Ocean View Suites offer the same interior with large picture windows instead of a balcony.

Penthouse & Penthouse Spa Suites
A genuine step up in space and comfort. Penthouse Suites offer a larger living area, extended veranda, dining space for entertaining, and dedicated butler service. Penthouse Spa Suites add direct access to the spa and wellness facilities, plus additional in-suite amenities. Both suit guests who value room to spread out or prefer to host new friends for drinks before dinner.

Owner's, Signature & Wintergarden Suites
Seabourn’s flagship accommodation. These suites offer expansive living spaces, whirlpool baths, guest dining areas, walk-in wardrobes, and verandas large enough to entertain on. Wintergarden Suites include a private sunroom with a soaking tub and daybed. Guests in these categories receive enhanced privileges – priority reservations, complimentary laundry, in-suite caviar service – and the best positions on the ship.

Expedition Suites
Seabourn Venture and Seabourn Pursuit offer the same suite standards as the ocean fleet, designed with expedition life in mind. You’ll find the same quality linens, marble bathrooms, and refined finishes, but with practical touches for adventure travel. The ships are purpose-built for polar and remote regions, so comfort remains a priority even when you’re spending your days in Zodiacs and parkas.

Facilities & amenities
All suites include a personal stewardess, complimentary in-suite bar, pillow menu, premium toiletries, and 24-hour room service. Interconnecting suites are available for families or groups needing extra space. Suite layouts vary by ship – our Voyage Consultants can advise on the best options for your chosen itinerary and recommend the right category based on how you like to travel.

Dining overview
Dining on Seabourn is included, flexible, and presents a range of options. All restaurants are open-seating with no surcharges, so you can eat when you want, with whom you like, without worrying about reservations or extra costs. Menus change daily, wine is poured freely, and the kitchen handles dietary requirements without fuss. Whether you want a five-course dinner or a late-night burger by the pool, it’s all part of the fare.

The Grill by Thomas Keller
Seabourn’s signature dining venue, developed with the Michelin-starred chef. The menu draws on American classics from the 1950s and 60s – think prime cuts, seafood, and timeless dishes executed with precision. It’s relaxed rather than stuffy, with tableside preparation and an outdoor terrace on most ships. Reservations are recommended, but there’s no extra charge. One of the best restaurant experiences at sea.

The Restaurant
The main dining room is the heart of Seabourn’s culinary programme. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with menus that shift daily based on where you’re sailing. Service is polished but warm, and the open-seating format means no assigned tables or rigid timing. Most guests dress up a little for dinner here, but the atmosphere stays welcoming rather than formal.

The Colonnade
Relaxed, light-filled, and versatile. Breakfast and lunch are served buffet-style with an emphasis on fresh, seasonal ingredients. In the evening, it transforms into a table-service restaurant with regionally themed menus – Mediterranean one night, Asian the next. The indoor-outdoor layout and ocean views make it a favourite for guests who prefer a less formal setting.

Solis
A newer addition to the fleet, Solis brings Mediterranean-inspired cuisine to Seabourn. The menu focuses on lighter dishes – fresh seafood, seasonal vegetables, vibrant flavours – designed in collaboration with Seabourn’s culinary team. It’s a welcome option for guests who want something bright and flavourful without the richness of The Grill.

Other dining experiences
Seabourn’s other dining options include Earth & Ocean, an al fresco evening experience with a globally inspired menu served under the stars on select sailings. The Patio offers poolside favourites – salads, grilled dishes, pizzas – throughout the day. In-suite dining is available around the clock, with full menus from The Restaurant served course by course on your veranda if you prefer. All drinks are included throughout, from morning coffee to nightcap.

Amenities overview
Seabourn ships are small but lack nothing. You’ll find open-air pools and whirlpools, elegant lounges with panoramic views, well-stocked libraries, boutiques, and a theatre for enrichment talks and evening performances. The atmosphere is relaxed and unhurried – spaces never feel crowded, and there’s always somewhere quiet to settle with a book or a drink. Expedition ships add specialist facilities for off-ship exploration, but the same refined comfort runs through the entire fleet.

Caviar in the Surf
Seabourn’s signature moment is unlike anything else at sea. On select beach days in beautiful locations, the crew set up on a pristine stretch of sand. Guests wade into the shallows while uniformed staff serve champagne and caviar from silver trays. It sounds theatrical – and it is – but it’s also genuinely memorable. The kind of experience guests talk about for years. Not every itinerary includes it, so ask us if it matters to you.

Marina Days
When conditions allow, Seabourn opens the marina platform at the stern of the ship for complimentary water sports. Kayaks, paddleboards, and swimming straight off the back of the ship into calm, clear water. It’s informal and fun – a chance to stretch your legs and play rather than sit by the pool. Marina Days depend on weather and location, so they’re not guaranteed, but when they happen, they’re a highlight.

Seabourn Square
The social hub of every ship. Part living room, part concierge, part café – Seabourn Square replaces the traditional cruise ship reception with something far more inviting. Guests gather here for morning coffee, fresh pastries, light bites, and conversation throughout the day. It’s also where you’ll find guest services, shore excursion planning, and the shops. Comfortable seating, natural light, and a relaxed buzz make it a favourite spot between meals and excursions.

Expedition Facilities
On Seabourn Venture and Seabourn Pursuit, exploration is built into the ship. A fleet of Zodiacs launches from the stern for landings and wildlife cruises. Kayaks are available for closer encounters in calm waters. Custom-built submarines take small groups beneath the surface for a genuinely rare perspective. The Discovery Centre hosts briefings, lectures, and programming from the expedition team. A mudroom keeps gear organised and makes transitions between ship and shore seamless.

Other amenities
Other amenities include an open-air pool deck with plush loungers and attentive service, the Observation Bar with panoramic views, a card room for bridge and board games, and a well-curated library. The theatre hosts enrichment lectures, destination briefings, and evening performances. A small but thoughtfully stocked boutique offers jewellery, clothing, and Seabourn-branded items. Everything is designed for ease – nothing flashy, nothing missing.

Spa & fitness
Seabourn’s spa offers a full menu of massages, facials, and body treatments in a calm, ocean-view setting. Thermal areas include sauna and steam rooms for unwinding after a day ashore. The fitness centre features modern equipment – cardio, weights, stretch areas – with classes including yoga and Pilates available on most voyages. On expedition ships, there’s something satisfying about a proper workout after a morning kayaking through ice.

The Retreat
A private sanctuary on the top deck, available for an additional fee. The Retreat features 15 cabanas arranged around a central whirlpool, each with a flat-screen TV, stocked fridge, and personal service. A dedicated spa cabana offers treatments without leaving the space. It’s quiet, indulgent, and feels genuinely removed from the rest of the ship – worth considering for guests who value privacy and uninterrupted relaxation.

By day
Days at sea are yours to fill. Enrichment lectures cover everything from destination history to wildlife, photography, and cultural insight – often delivered by experts genuinely worth listening to. Seabourn Square offers a relaxed spot for coffee and conversation. The library is well-stocked and quiet. On expedition ships, the focus shifts to briefings, wildlife sightings, and preparing for the next landing. There’s no forced fun, no tannoy announcements pulling you to poolside quizzes. Space and stillness are the point.

When night falls
Evenings are refined without being stuffy. The Grand Salon hosts live performances – cabaret, vocalists, classical recitals, and occasionally guest artists from West End or Broadway backgrounds. The Club is the livelier option, with a resident DJ and dancing later in the evening. The Observation Bar suits those who prefer a cocktail and piano music with panoramic views. On expedition voyages, the Constellation Lounge takes over for evening drinks and recaps of the day’s adventures. No casino, no crowds – just good company and a well-made drink.

Families
While primarily adult-focused, Seabourn welcomes families with older children. Suites with multiple sleeping areas or interconnecting options provide flexibility, and enrichment programmes and wildlife excursions are engaging for younger explorers.

FAQs
Whether it’s life on board or daily excursions ashore, these FAQs are designed to guide you through the Seabourn Cruises experience.
Almost everything. Your suite, all dining (including The Grill by Thomas Keller), open bar throughout the day – wine, champagne, spirits, cocktails – plus gratuities and WiFi. On expedition voyages, you also get Zodiac excursions, kayaking, and expert-led landings as part of the fare. Spa treatments and premium excursions cost extra, but day-to-day, there’s very little you’ll need to pay for onboard.
Yes – and they’re exceptional. Seabourn Venture and Seabourn Pursuit are purpose-built expedition ships with PC6 ice-class hulls, custom submarines, and a full expedition team of scientists, naturalists, and photographers. They sail to Antarctica, the Arctic, the Kimberley, and other remote regions. You get the same Seabourn service and suites, just with parkas and Zodiacs instead of pool days.
Seabourn is designed for adults – there are no kids’ clubs or dedicated children’s programmes. That said, families with older teenagers do sail, particularly on expedition itineraries where wildlife and adventure keep everyone engaged. Some suites can accommodate three guests or interconnect for more space. If your children are curious travellers who’d rather spot whales than ride a waterslide, it can work well.
Relaxed during the day – resort casual covers it. Evenings shift to elegant casual: think smart trousers and a collared shirt, or a dress. There are no formal nights as such, though some guests enjoy dressing up for special dinners. Nobody’s enforcing rules, but most guests appreciate the elevated atmosphere after dark. Pack a few versatile pieces, and you’ll be fine.
They’re both six-star and all-inclusive, but they have different personalities. Seabourn feels more like a private yacht – slightly smaller ships, a warm social atmosphere, and signature touches like Caviar in the Surf. Silversea leans more into culinary experiences with its S.A.L.T. programme and has a larger expedition fleet. Neither is objectively better – it depends on what matters most to you. If you’re torn, we can help you figure it out.
Depends on what you’re after. Seabourn Encore and Seabourn Ovation are the newest ocean ships – modern, spacious, with the full dining lineup including Solis. Seabourn Quest is smaller and suits guests who prefer a more intimate, classic feel. For expedition, Seabourn Venture and Seabourn Pursuit are purpose-built for polar and remote regions, with submarines and a full expedition team. If you’re unsure, that’s what we’re here for.
For the right traveller, absolutely. The fare covers almost everything – drinks, dining, gratuities, WiFi – so you’re not paying extra at every turn. The ships are small enough that service feels personal, and the crew-to-guest ratio is among the best at sea. Compare it to other luxury lines once you account for what’s actually included, and the gap narrows. It’s an investment, but it delivers.
One of the better options, where the ultra-luxury cruise lines are concerned. There’s a single supplement, though reduced rates appear on select sailings. The smaller ships make it easy to meet people – the same faces at dinner, conversations that pick up naturally over a few days. Open seating helps, too. Expedition voyages are particularly sociable, with shared Zodiac rides and briefings creating a real sense of camaraderie.
Seabourn’s most famous signature moment. On select beach days, the crew sets up on a pristine stretch of sand and wades into the water, carrying trays of champagne and caviar. Guests stand barefoot in the surf while uniformed staff serve them. It sounds absurd, but it’s also genuinely memorable. One of those experiences people talk about for years.
Seabourn’s loyalty programme. You’re enrolled automatically after your first voyage and earn points for every night onboard. Benefits increase through the tiers – from onboard savings and exclusive events to complimentary WiFi and eventually free cruises for the most frequent guests.
