Scenic Luxury Cruises and Tours has confirmed the line’s second Discovery Yacht, Scenic Eclipse II, will launch in April this year.
With construction well underway, Scenic Eclipse II will embark on her inaugural voyage on 12 April. The 12-day Incredible Iberian Discovery itinerary will include calls to 10 ports across Portugal and Spain, with an overnight in Seville.
After launching in the Mediterranean, she will take guests to explore Northern Europe and the British Isles before crossing the Atlantic Ocean to spend some time in the Caribbean.
Moving on to 2024, which will begin with a series of voyages in Antarctica. From the White Continent, she will sail to South America before operating a summer season in Australia & New Zealand.
Inaugural season highlights
- Spend nine days exploring the Scottish Isles: Historic Trails and Wilderness from Edinburgh to Dublin in September 2023 or vice versa in June 2024.
- Sail Beyond the Antarctic Circle on two 17-night Buenos Aires roundtrips in January 2024.
- Discover the Kimberly Coastline over 11 days, with regular departures from Darwin to Broome or vice versa between May and August 2024.
About Scenic Eclipse II
Scenic Eclipse II will be almost identical to her sister ship, Scenic Eclipse, but will boast several enhancements to the onboard public spaces. Due to the popularity of the KLAFS infrared chairs on Scenic Eclipse, the Senses Spa on Scenic Eclipse II will feature a dedicated infrared ocean view lounge with colour light therapy.
The 228-guest yacht will also feature a new bar on Deck 10 with indoor and outdoor seating and an oval-shaped pool with a relaxation area.
The arrival of Scenic Eclipse II will bring more opportunities for worldwide exploration. The two Discovery Yachts will visit more than 350 ports across 50-something countries, spanning all seven continents. Capacity will be limited to 200 guests on cruises in Antarctica.
