Description
This exclusive Cruise & Rail itinerary combines a 21-night voyage aboard Cunard’s Queen Mary 2 with a 2-night/3-day journey on South Africa’s iconic Blue Train. During your voyage, you’ll experience the delights of Lisbon and Tenerife before cruising coastal South Africa with calls to Walvis Bay, Port Elizabeth and, finally, Cape Town.
Upon arrival in Cape Town, you’ll be transferred to the station and board The Blue Train, where for two nights, you’ll be treated to a scenic journey bound for Pretoria while staying in a De Luxe Suite. The 54-hour journey of 1,600 kilometres (994 miles) will give you a front-row seat through some of the most diverse and spectacular scenery offered by the African sub-continent.
All meals and selected beverages are included during your time aboard The Blue Train, along with a tour of the Open Mine Museum and the “Big Hole” in Kimberley.
