SeaDream II is a luxury ship designed to offer a private yacht-style experience for no more than 112 guests. The sister ship of SeaDream I, SeaDream II was built in 1985 and was previously operated by Seabourn. In 2001, she underwent an extensive refurbishment programme before entering service for SeaDream Yacht Club and currently offers cruises in the Mediterranean and the Caribbean.

One of the main advantages of choosing to cruise on SeaDream II is the diversity of the itineraries. While she is based in what many would consider the more ‘traditional’ cruise regions, the combination of calls to popular ports alongside a variety of carefully chosen hidden gems means you will enjoy a more authentic experience in the places you visit.

Onboard SeaDream II, the atmosphere is always relaxed, and there’s never any need for formal attire. The service, which is widely acclaimed to be amongst the best at sea, is personable and friendly, while the open decks and comfortable furniture (which include Balinese Dream Beds) are perfect should you wish to recline in the sunshine and watch the world go by.

SeaDream II Accommodation: Staterooms & Suites

SeaDream II has a total of 54 staterooms and suites, all of which have ocean views via either a window or a porthole. There is a choice of four different accommodation categories, which are as follows:

• Yacht Club Stateroom (195 sq.ft)
• Commodore Suite (390 sq.ft)
• Admiral Suite (375 sq.ft)
• Owners Suite (447 sq.ft)

All of the accommodation options on SeaDream II are equipped with the necessary mod-cons, including a flatscreen television, safe, climate control, a choice of 2 twin beds or a queen bed, a writing desk, a seating area and a private ensuite bathroom. The Owners Suite has a private bedroom, a dining area and a full-size bathtub.

Dining on SeaDream II

SeaDream II has two main dining venues. The main restaurant is the Dining Salon, which is located on Deck 2. This elegant space offers open-seating for all guests during the evening and serves a menu split into four sections; a starter, a palate cleanser, a main and a dessert. Contained within each section is a choice of dishes which change daily.

The other venue on SeaDream II is the Topside Restaurant, which you will find on Decks 4, 5 and 6. This open-air space offers the same menu as the Dining Salon during the evening and is open for breakfast and lunch, both of which are buffet-style.

SeaDream Yacht Club is renowned for the food served onboard and as such, you can look forward to enjoying a wide range of classic dishes, regional favourites and decadent desserts. Raw, organic and vegan options are also available on every cruise.

Entertainment on SeaDream II

While there is no specific entertainment programme on SeaDream II, there are plenty of ways to enjoy yourself. The watersports marina at the rear of the yacht offers complimentary use of watersports toys such as personal sailboats, waterskis, snorkelling equipment, and even a trampoline. Golf enthusiasts will love the golf simulator on Deck 6, while the Top of the Yacht bar makes for an excellent spot to read a book or catch up with friends while enjoying the warm weather.

In the evening, the Piano Bar is a favourite spot to listen to live music while sipping a fantastic cocktail, while the Pool Deck becomes an open-air cinema showing classic movies, complete with popcorn, bar service and blankets.

Spa Facilities on SeaDream II

The SeaDream Spa is a highlight of the SeaDream II experience. Here, the ship’s therapists offer a comprehensive menu of Asian treatments in a calming, peaceful environment. Alternatively, you may decide to spend some time in the ship’s sauna and steam room. SeaDream II also has a small beauty salon, a fitness suite and runs regular classes in Yoga and Tai Chi.

Other facilities on SeaDream II include a splash pool, a jacuzzi and an outdoor massage area.
