G Expedition is an intimate small ship purpose-built for exploring Antarctica and the Arctic. Having joined the G Adventures’ fleet in 2008, she has quickly established herself as one of the most affordable expedition ships on which to travel. G Expedition has capacity for 134 guest, which gives her a 10:1 passenger-to-expert ration - one of the highest among the ships currently operating in the Polar Regions. G Expedition ItinerariesDuring the winter months, G Expedition is based in Antarctica and operates a variety of itineraries, including a grand 22-night odyssey that takes in the Falkland Islands, South Georgia and the Antarctic Peninsula and an 11-day ‘Antarctica Classic’. In the summer months, she is repositioned in the Norwegian Fjords and Arctic Circle where she offers coastal voyages along the mainland and further north in Spitsbergen. For deeper exploration and excursions ashore, G Expedition is equipped with a fleet of Zodiacs which are deployed up to twice a day, weather permitting. Each excursion is accompanied by one of G Adventure’s CEO Naturalist Guides (the CEO stands for ‘Chief Experience Officer’), who are experts in the fields of geology, geography, wildlife and history and boast years of expedition experience. Throughout your time with G Adventures, the team will be on-hand to impart knowledge and lead daily briefings and presentations. G Expedition AccommodationThere are five grades of accommodation on G Expedition to choose from. These range from small but comfortable Category 1 and Category 2 cabins, to large Category 5 suites.
