A Day With Regent Seven Seas

October 31, 2013  |  Share:

Today we welcome back guest blogger, Anthony Nicholas to The Cruise Line blog as he shares with us a typical day with Regent Seven Seas.

With the most totally inclusive ships in the deluxe sector, a day at sea on Regent Seven Seas is literally brim full of deliciously self indulgent possibilities. The choices on offer are limited pretty much only by your personal tastes.

Why not start the day with breakfast on your own private balcony? Savour fresh fruit, sizzling steak and a refreshing mimosa as you enjoy the view of, perhaps St. Petersburg, St.Maarten or even Saigon as they emerge over the horizon.  Not a bad way to begin the perfect day at sea.

Not going ashore? if fitness is your thing, work out in a fully equipped gym to your heart’s content. But if exercising your mind is more on your personal menu, feel free to browse and borrow from an extensive, erudite library that will always provide food for thought.

You could reconnect with Mother Nature as you enjoy the sun on deck, with a refreshing strawberry daiquiri to hand, and a pool grill serving up delicious snacks at any time of the day. Indoors, there are quizzes and crossword puzzles to dip in and out of, as and when you desire.

Lunch is a feast either indoors or out, but taking an hour or more to indulge in Regent’s outstanding cuisine and service outdoors on the aft terrace is about as decadent as it gets. From light, lush salads to perfectly carved lamb, the only thing not on the menu is mediocrity.

Afternoon options? You could, of course, chill out in your suite, with a free feature film and even some popcorn. Or you could just take yourself back out into the sunshine, and sag into the hot tub for an hour or so, with a nice glass of something cold to hand.

More in depth pampering can be had in one of the most opulent and beautiful spas on any ship afloat (extra charge) or, if you’re a stickler for an elegant tradition, you can indulge in a beautifully served afternoon tea up in one of the lounges, complete with numerous tea choices and elegant finger sandwiches.

A sea day will usually also feature a number of fascinating, informative talks and lectures, all usually themed around the ports of call you will be visiting. Again, you can take or leave these as you wish.

One thing for sure; your Regent day is yours to enjoy in your own way.
