SeaDream Yacht Club – The Finest Club At Sea

SeaDream Yacht Club Boutique Hotels at Sea

Welcome to finest club at sea…

I am delighted to provide you with our new and exclusive mini-brochure for SeaDream Yacht Club. Having recently returned from a glorious voyage from Singapore to Bali aboard SeaDream II, I decided to offer my personal view by means of an introduction to this piece, in the hope that it will suitably impart what a truly unique and exclusive experience is on offer.

SeaDream is very special, run like a small boutique family hotel and with an attention to detail that is second to none in cruising.  The crew aboard both of SeaDream’s Yachts are what truly make the experience unforgettable, the fact many of them have been with the company for upwards of 10-years really does speak volumes. One of my friends was actually back on board after 18 years (then SeaDream Yacht Club was known as Sea Goddess) and he and a member of crew immediately recognised one another. It was an incredible reunion to say the least.

SeaDream is quite simply the finest social club at sea and reminds me of the early days of Silversea.  Guests are united in the daily banter and the crew will always make it the most relaxing experience you could possibly wish for. In short, nothing is too much trouble however big or small. The food on SeaDream is still the finest at sea – in my view – and the majority  cooked to order. The lobster tails I requested one evening were prepared to perfection and delicious and the Executive Chef was always around to ask if we had such special requests. He even gave me the recipe of a spectacular white tomato soup. The cuisine really is of exceptional standards, simply divine! On-board the atmosphere is very casual and when you work in a fast paced environment 5-days a week you certainly do appreciate  the chance to relax and unwind and not worry about a set dress code.

If you enjoy the occasional or even more regular dose of  excitement and  adrenalin then you are in for a real treat as  water-sports are a big thing on-board (albeit optional of course) and no-one does them quite like SeaDream. The Marina at the aft of the ship folds down and the ocean becomes your playground- quite literally. On offer are Banana boats, Kayaks, Windsurfers and 2 Yamaha jet-skis. Snorkelling equipment is also available if you would prefer something a little more relaxed. My personal favourite is the paddle-surfing! An ideal way to let your hair down when the ship is at anchor.

Dining under the stars and sleeping under the stars are two very big reasons why I would choose to embark on a voyage with SeaDream as they too are unique. So many attentive details come together perfectly to create the most superb small-ship experience one could imagine. You certainly could never refer to these vessels as cruise ships, they are far too intimate and personal for such a general classification and the crew to guest ratio is one of the best at sea. Although small the yachts of SeaDream do not sacrifice big ship amenities. You will still find a spa, swimming pool, library, casino, several bars and even a golf  simulator. Essentially everything you would expect to find on a much larger vessel is on-board both of these superb small ships.

Please peruse this brochure at your leisure and I can strongly recommend this experience as there has never been a better time to book, with some truly fabulous itineraries and all-inclusive fares on offer for 2014.
