Windstar Cruises Announce Expeditions Programme
Windstar Cruises have announced details of their new Signature Expeditions programme, coinciding with the Seattle-based cruise line’s collection of Alaska itineraries this summer.
Windstar, who are returning to Alaska for the first time in 20 years, will offer the Signature Expeditions programme on a range of itineraries sailing aboard Star Legend, marking Windstar’s first foray into the “soft adventure” market.
The Signature Expeditions programme is intended to give guests the opportunity to enjoy a more immersive experience whilst in Alaska. As such, optional activities including kayaking, hikes and excursions by Zodiac will all be offered, along with the guidance of Windstar’s very own Signature Expeditions Team.
Commenting on the launch of Signature Expeditions, Windstar Cruises’ President said:
“We are thrilled to finally be back in Alaska having just launched our Signature Expeditions programme which embraces the beauty of the region and allows for the most authentic, destination-focused experiences for our guests.”
Windstar Cruises’ Alaska season is comprised of nine different itineraries departing between later May and early September. The voyages, which operate round-trip from Vancouver, from Seward, or between Tokyo and Seward, are available to book for durations between 11 and 27 days.
In addition to the experiences offered as part of Windstar’s Signature Expeditions programme, Windstar is also providing guests the option to extend their stay in the region with pre and post-cruise excursions in Denali National Park.
